Cozy and welcoming Third Ward spot serving self-described "Cajun Soulfood.". In Short
With only 10 tables and limited operating hours, it can tend to get crowded, but the friendly staff and festive decor dispel any angst about wait times. Sample crisp fried catfish or big, butterflied fried shrimp. The menu varies throughout the week, but generally includes pork chops, chicken, etoufee, po'boys and soul food veggie sides. The hearty gumbo boasts large chunks of unshelled crab and sausage. If there's sweet potato pie available, don't pass it up.

BAYEAUX'S THE BEST. Checked this place out of all of the wonderful reviews it has gotten the best catfish & shrimp to Ultimate Gumbo to No. 1 peach cobbler & I heard about the po-boys and pork chops and oxtails. Deck has 8 tables and there are 12 tables inside hopefully there are other locations in the works all I can say is that if you are a foodie like I am then I would put my name on a table you can't get much better than this. Keep up the good food,work and service. If you don't check this place out if you are visiting houston or if you live here you will regret it. Been to LA or NY then the parking is yours for the taking the city allows you to park on the street and inpede 1 lane of traffic. These guys are worth it.
