NEVER AGAIN. I normally visit a nail salon on my side of town for regular mani/pedi appointments with my favorite technician. However, I had a chip on one of my solar tipped nails that I kept messing with until I effectively picked it completely off. I didn't want to wait to see my technician for a simple repair and repolish, so I was looking for another salon close to my job to visit for a quick repair.

I remember passing the Elegant Nail salon before so I stopped by there today (2-17-12). There was only one person being serviced and the rest of the staff were sitting around talking. I explained what I needed and after a brief conversation amongst themselves, one of the technicians tells me, "we don't do solar nails". I thought I didn't hear her correctly, so I asked her to repeat herself. She then tells me, "the guy who does 'fake nails' isn't here today." I can't believe that I asked, but I did--"ONLY ONE PERSON IN THIS PLACE DOES ARTIFICIAL NAILS?" A rude guy that other reviewer mention leans over and tells me, "Yes--he's out".

I guess what little I needed done wasn't worth their effort, so they turned down my business. ?!

Seeing some of the other negative comments here on YELP reassures me that in turning down my business, they really did me a favor. ^_^

THE WORST!!. This is the WORST nail salon EVER!!!! I was in the area and decided to stop for a pedi and overlay.... that was the BIGGEST MISTAKE Ive ever made in my life!!! The ONLY guy there named SON TRAN is VERY rude! He started my nails at 6:46, the salon closes at 7 so he totally was rushing. He applied a VERY thin layer of acrylic on my nails, when i asked for it to be thicker he smacked his lips and begin to apply a VERY thick layer over my nails. When i asked him to file it down more because it looked like a HUGE mountain on my nails, this guy sat back in his chair and asked, "WHAT NOW?" After 2 mins of not doing what i asked he smacked his lips again and SNATCHED the towel from under my arms, he said "FREE FOR YOU, DON'T COME BACK!" I will NEVER go back there EVER even if it was the LAST nail salon on EARTH!

Awful. This place is seriously terrible. It is walking distance from it house, but I would sooner drive to Alaska than go back to this place. Every time I have gone for a manicure I've had to go home and fix it. They speak a NO English, literally none. If you ask for anything at all, they just smile and nod. I got a manicure with clear polish this time and you can still see a red rim around each nail from my old polish. This is such a joke. DON'T GO HERE.

SOOO CLEAN!!. This is one of the hidden treasures of Houston. Karen operates one of the cleanest shops around. You get your own box of utensils for every time you come back. This is one of the most relaxing places with the massages, which is included in the price of the manicure and pedicure. You can't go wrong with a manicure for $10 and a pedicure for $20. Ask for Linda she gives the best massages.
