“This location is probably the first Vietnamese sandwich shop in Houston that serves an unique BBQ pork sandwich (bánh mì thịt nướng) that I can not find anywhere else outside of Texas.”
“This tiny little hotspot is quickly becoming well known for both its great food and cheap prices.”
“They use fresh crusty bread, crisp vegetables and have a great selection of Spring Rolls.”
“great place for vietnamese banh mi”
“didn't have a chance to dine in yet and try anything else besides their best BBQ sandwich (banh mi thit nuong), but I definitely will since I read all of the reviews and people were recommended for other course especially " pho”
“Great food and very inexpensive!”

I dare you to find a lunch spot that's as cheap and filling as this Vietnamese sandwich place.
I could eat it everyday... and my mom says thats ok.
Their Banh Mi is the BEST in town and I grew up in Alief (no shortage of vietnamese places).
You gotta have the #2 with BBQ pork and duck pate. and the cafe su dah is my fave as well. Seriously- a 3 dollar sandwich this amazing??? I could eat it everyday!
I don't really recommend the pho, its ok but i have another favorite place for pho in the hong kong market. Happy eating!
Best Viet Namese BBQ sandwich. I didn't have a chance to dine in yet and try anything else besides their best BBQ sandwich (banh mi thit nuong), but I definitely will since I read all of the reviews and people were recommended for other course especially " pho ". Not only their sandwich but the price is very reasonable, too. I highly recommend their BBQ sandwich.
really great sandwiches. really great atmosphere, the meat is always consistently delicious, and healthy! However if you are going to pay by credit card, and you put $0 tip, they will add a $4 tip so just use cash.
Incredible prices for ridiculously good food. i'm a student at U of H downtown and i eat at this cafe very frequently, the manager and owners are all very nice and the service is great. my advice, get the pork spring roll, bun thit nuong, or a sandwhich. GREAT food and service, highly recommended
great place for vietnamese banh mi. Have such fresh banh mi as well as other kitchen food such as pho, vermicelli, and rice. This is my favorite place ever!!!! I've been here so many years and have a lot of memories with it :)
BBQ pork sandwich is not the same. This location is probably the first Vietnamese sandwich shop in Houston that serves an unique BBQ pork sandwich (bánh mì thịt nướng) that I can not find anywhere else outside of Texas. I used to stop by this shop to pick up a couple of sandwiches before going to my classes at UH. Today I went back to try the BBQ pork sandwich and was very disappointed. The meat is cold, and is marinaded way too sweet. In addition, the sandwich doesn't have any of that homemade mayonaise, and the pickled vegetables are not even sour. It doesn't taste anything like the juicy, hot, thick cuts of BBQ pork in a mouthwatering mayonaise sandwich that I remember.
Awesome!!!. Great food and very inexpensive!!! The sandwiches are a steal, and they are fresh and so good. I find my self turning on droves of my friends to this place with great reception. Some times a bit of a wait for what seems like a simple sandwich but well worth it. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone inside the loop and especially anyone close to mid town.
Great binh ma sandhwiches!.
Very affordable and fresh binh ma sandwiches, and great Pho too!
They use fresh crusty bread, crisp vegetables and have a great selection of Spring Rolls...
For $6.00 you will walk out full and happy...
Best Pho!. I have been to more then 5 Vietnames resturant in different cities but thekind of food this place servesis truly exceptional. Chicken Pho is absolutly amazing.. and so are the sandwiches... I would really recommend this place to anyone who is reading this review. Prices are very resonable and food quaility is really good.
Consistent, fresh and clean Vietnamese fare. Place has the best Vietnamese sandwiches (binh ma) at very reasonable prices. Understand they have a wide variety of meats from the tame to exotic. Reccommendation of gettting extra meat for an additional $.50. The spring rolls and egg rolls are also good and my wife had the pho (noodle soup) and said it was tasty.
