Azur West - Best hair salon ever!!!. I have moved to Houston a few months ago and I was looking for a new salon with a fantastic service. I have made a bad choice before so this time I decided to check the reviews first. I read a lot of great reviews about Azur West Salon and their talented stylists. I booked an appointment with Trey Gillen and it was an excellent choice. He completely understands my hair and knows how to cut and style with perfection. He was able to transform my uneven and dull hair into a great hair do. I have received great amount of compliments … even from strangers! I would recommend Tray to anyone who wants his/hers hair look amazing!

I will definitely go back!

BEST Color and Cut in Houston!. Jo Adams is the absolute BEST! Her color is brilliant, I just had my hair colored and every single person who has seen me has gushed over how well it compliments my coloring, the cut is trendy yet classic and is easy for me to style. Jo has done my hair for over 20 years and I trust her completely. She listens, she is very service oriented and most importantly, she is TALENTED! Every single person reading this post should give Jo a try-I promise you will LOVE her work.

Azur A+. I moved to Houston from Chicago a few years ago and have been searching for someone who could give me a “wow” hair cut ever since. I’ve been to many of the “best” salons in Houston and left feeling overpaid, underwhelmed and overall annoyed. Angel and the staff at Azur are awesome! He was able to take the short, stacked, angled haircut I wanted and create it better than I could have ever imagined. He listened and made me feel extremely comfortable. Many others told me they would cut/texture my hair so that my natural curl wouldn’t come out ( I prefer the straight “edgy” look)….Angel came through! After showering and blow-drying the haircut is just as amazing as it was when Angel did it. FINALLY someone has WOWED me. Go see Angel at Azur if you want your hair to look amazing!

Angel from heaven. my first visit to azur was awesome. The nicest people and very knowledgeable. The best hair color I have had ever by Angel and best hair cut as well by Angel. I have very thick hair and he is the only one that has been able to do wonders for my hair. Great staff as well and cannot wait until my next visit.

Angel & Azur - Great Combination. If you're looking for a great hairstylist then look no further than Angel at Azur salon. I've searched for years for someone that could work magic with my fine hair and Angel is it! I know it's a great cut because I can style my hair in 10 minutes. Angel has a special technique that he uses to texturize my hair. He is professional and easy to talk to.

The salon is great as well. From the minute you walk in until you leave you will feel welcome and relaxed. Great stylist and great salon!

Wonderful Hair Salon!. Well, this is the first time I've ever written a review but I felt this salon was deserving of some good ole word of mouth praise.

I am extremely picky and critical of how people cut, color, and style my hair. I don't mean to be but that's just the way I am. So, unfortunately in my entire 33 years of life, I have yet to find THE salon that I am a loyal client of. I've never been "wowed" enough by anyone to want to return again and again. So, before I start digressing, let me get to the point.

This was my first visit to Azur Salon. First impression was good. I wasn't greeted by some snobby front desk girl/guy, which is always a plus. I had my hair colored by Kim Do and I absolutely love the color. She carefully listened to what I had to say and then used her expertise to choose the right color for me and what I was looking for. Then I had my bangs trimmed and hair styled by Chris C. and he styled it so perfectly!! I know styling hair may not be a big deal to some people but that's how I determine if you're good with hair. And Chris nailed it. Do you ever have an image in your head of how you want your hair to look and everytime you are sadly disappointed? Well, that's usually the case for me. Honestly, I would like to leave the salon looking good. Doesn't everyone?? In most cases, I leave the salon thinking I can't wait to get home and restyle my hair. So, needless to say, Chris did a fantastic job and I look forward to getting a haircut from him in the near future.

From what I gathered on this visit, everyone seemed to be very friendly and honest. The place had a great vibe and energy and I will definitely be going back. Hopefully, I will have finally found my GO TO salon for many years to come.

From my overall experience, I would highly recommend this salon to everyone. I'm pretty certain you won't be disappointed.

Trey Gillen - A Houston Gem!. Trey Gillen is so talented. I ran across his name by accident when searching for a stylist. I then did as much research as I could find on the Internet on Trey (read his bios, reviews, history in New York. . .), and without meeting Trey, I knew that Houston has something that is a treasure! Before even meeting Trey on my first appointment, and knowing that it will get increasingly harder to get in to see him around my schedule, I went ahead and booked all of my appointments for 2011 (I would do it for 2012 if they let me). Sure enough with my first visit, I could not be happier with the results of my hair. He did my high/low-lights, haircut, and style, and my hair is gorgeous! I have received tons of compliments. I can’t stop bragging enough about Trey. My hair looks so natural and feels healthy. He uses a chemical process for the high/low-lights that is gentle on the hair, and I understand that it will actually reverse your hair back to its natural healthiness after about six to seven processes, to your hair's previous natural state. That works for me! Trey is also very personable and explains what he is about to do every step of the way. What I found also with Trey, with his impressive background, he is very humble and gracious.

Best Haircut Ever!. I had my haircut by Tony Sanchez last week. He gave me the absolute best haircut of my life!!! I have a slightly inverted bob and its perfect!!! I will never go anywhere else!!!

TREY GILLEN IS AMAZING!!!!!!!. I had a good colorist, but my stylist and I were no longer on the same page. I saw Trey's ad in Houston magazine and decided to give him a try. I wasn't expecting much in terms of the cut, as he'd be fixing a really bad one, but I had hopes for a color that would match my complexion better. WOW - there aren't words to describe how thrilled I am with the results. First off, he gave me a terrific cut - I've honestly never had so many compliments on my hair. And the color is just fantastic. Some of my friends said I absolutely had a glow about me - all because I FINALLY had a color that complimented my fair skin and hazel eyes. Yes, this place is pricey, but in this case you DO get what you pay for. I have seriously NEVER been happier with my hair. He is a genius. Not only that, but he really took the time to listen to me, my concerns and previous bad experiences, and he worked with me to make me COMPLETELY happy with the cut and color. All in all the best decision I've ever made for my hair.

Fabulous Salon, Fabulous Trey Gillen!!. I recently moved from NYC to Houston and spent a great deal of time researching salons and stylists. I called several of my top picks to get a general feel for their knowledge of stylists and services, pricing and, frankly, to see how well I was treated on the phone (this matters to me). I visited Azur last month and could not have walked away happier. First, everyone at the salon was so welcoming knowing I was new to the place; many went out of their way to walk over to me and say hello. And then I met Trey and knew instantly that I was in good hands; I liked him immediately. He was easy to talk to and really listened to what I liked about my hair. I have highlights and have had the same person in NYC work on my hair for the past 6 years. Trey didn't hesitate to reach out to a colleague to get a consult on color for me; I was very impressed. I liked his easy-going style and knowledge about hair and products. Trey is going to be my stylist for as long as he cuts/colors hair - I absolutely loved him and what he did for me. I also have never had a better blowout. One more plus, I found new products that I am very happy with thanks to Trey. He also taught me tips w/r/t these products as well as blowing out my hair. All in all, a wonderful experience. I can't wait to go back!!
