After reading all the wonderful reviews of Azur on Citysearch, I figured it a sure bet that I would get a great haircut. Aggravated disappointment however, does not even begin to describe my experience. When I got to Azur, I was apathetically told they had given me the wrong appointment date and I would not be able to see the stylist unless I returned the next day. They were eventually able to fit me in later that day, which was nice admittedly, but not with the original stylist. The stylist they had arranged the cut with made sure I knew I was intruding on his time. The "consultation" for a dramatic change in hair lasted just about a minute (I was to donate over 16 inches to Locks of Love). The shampoo lasted only a couple of minutes, with nothing resembling a scalp massage, and he didn't condition my hair because it was "straight enough". We then went back to his chair and he finished the cut. There wasn't much styling to the cut and in true hedgehog style, single hairs were sticking out in all directions. We exchanged fewer than ten sentences the entire time I was there, and in the end another stylist had to fix the stuck out hair. My hair turned out alright, but the service from the front desk, and care from my stylist was downright pitiful. Hair will grow back, but I will not be returning to Azur.

I already loved my cut when I came to get a trim, but I loved it even more after Joel finished my hair. The space is modern and sleek, the service is attentive and professional, the stylists are talented and up-to-date, and the price is a value. I will be coming back!
Pros: Ambience, price, and of course the cut
