The owner of this place is the only person who has consistently given me GREAT haircuts. I did a pretty bad job of explaining what I wanted, but she still knew exactly how to get my hair right

Great Haircut!. I had not had a true hair cut in over 8 years! I had always gone with the buzz cut and did it myself. Needless to say, I was a bit nervous about getting it done, but I was assured by Josie that I was in good hands. She did a great job giving me a new look and as long as I am in Houston, I will use no one but her!

Highly Recommend. I know nothing about Houston as I've only been here for a couple weeks and I found myself in the position of having to get a hair cut. Mind you, I've received a hair cut from my girlfriend for the last three years and the idea of a salon/barber as a little nerve-wracking. However, Josie erased all of those nerves and did a tremendous job of cutting my hair. I called up on a Saturday at 10am asking when I could get in and she told me to come down 30 minutes later and sure enough, there I was sitting in the chair at 10:27am getting my hair cut. She is a lovely lady, very conversational and truly cares about her craft and fellow employees. To anyone out there searching for a place to get a cut, I highly recommend making MidTown Hair Studio the choice.

Top Notch!!. I would strongly recommend Midtown Hair Studio and Josie!! They do a great job with cutting hair and customer service. Every time I go in there she offers me a drink... usually a beer, which I graciously accept. I never have to wait long and they have a lounge with a Foosball table!! I can't speak to CoolG's comments about highlights... but my experiences with any issues have been great and corrected without question.

Don't GO THERE!. Don't go to this place. I went there for a cut and color and came home with grey still in my hair...HELLO!....and a clipper mark on the back of my head. My hairstylist Josie said it was becaus of the shape of my head. I have never had this happen to me in my entire lifetime, sorry my friend, I don't think you knew how to work the clippers properly seeing that she went through about 5 different ones because they kept running out of battery. I will never go back here and if you take pride in your appearance, I would recommend to stay far away.

Best Cut in a Long Time. As a guy who is very particular about his hair, I was very pleased with my experience!

I have moved around and traveled a lot in the past few years, which has forced me to venture into more hair salons and barber shops than I would have liked. Comparitavly speaking, I was extremely pleased with my cut, the service, and the experience at Midtown Salon. Josie was the name of my stylist and she did a phenominal job on my hair. They worked me in on very short notice, and to top it off, it was one of the least expensive cuts I've received in a long time.

Great Haircut in Midtown. I have been going to MIdtown Hair Studio ever since I moved to Houston 2 years ago. I am very picky about who cuts my hair and had a stylist in Austin who had cut my hair the last 4 years. Damaris was the first to cut my hair and she was excellent. Since then, Josie has been cutting my hair and she is great. All of the stylists make sure your hair is to your satisfaction before you leave. I have probably gotten 20 haircuts there and been very happy with all of them! They are a great find especially if you just moved here. Please check them out...I promise you will love it.

Super Awesome Haircut. Last week I visited a competing hair salon (which will go unnamed). The service was very friendly. However, the cut was executed haphazardly with no attention to symmetry. I went to midtown hair studio ready to cut off most my hair in order to fix it (i already had pretty short hair). The stylist (Victoria - seriously, ask for her..she's AWESOME!) instantly saw every error the previous stylist made and fixed in within 8 minutes while still leaving a perfect length. Also, they close at 6:30. I was working on a project at work and didn't get off until 6:15. I called them prior to driving over there to ask how late they'd be open. When the nice lady on the phone told me 6:30, I was ready to visit another day (not wanting to be THAT guy - the one who come a few minutes before locking up with blatant disregard for the stylists’ personal time). However, she refused to not let me come in! She said don't worry about the time; we'll save a seat for you just come in! I will never go to another hair salon so long as this place is open.

The Best. I have been going here for two years now and have used numerous stylist and have never once been disappointed with my haircut. I have always gotten exactly what I asked for along with friendly customer service and a fun atmosphere. I highly recommend it.
