In Short – With three bars under one roof, this lively and often wild venue at the Marq*E Entertainment Center offers retro and hip-hop dancing in the main bar (Drink) outfitted with giant video screens and an extensive lighting system. For a martini and cigar-bar ambience, head upstairs to Rain Video Lounge. Finally, 8.0 Retro is the venue's '80s-themed club, with a pair of long bars framed by a massive, 50-by-80-foot '80s theme wall.
Great place to have a good time

I have been going to Drink Houston for the past two years. It may not be as fancy as other upscale clubs, but there is plenty of space to dance on - unless it is a Saturday night. I have read other's peoples reviews and concerns over seeing too many Hispanics or Ethnic people - to that I say..Seriously?? You live in Houston!!!! Get a grip! I argue that you can always find a good mix of people from all walks of life.
Saturdays' are definitely the most packed, but on any given Thursday or Friday you can go and enjoy good music as its not as crowded and also take advantage of drink specials.
I would say for drinks/cocktails - you definitely have to know which bartenders to go to. I tend to avoid the big bar (unless one of my favorite bartenders is there)
and opt for the smaller ones on the upper section of the Drink Houston Room or get there early enough before 11 to be attended to.
The Drink Room houses three bars and large dance floor which does get messy at times when tipsy people decide to dance with their drinks in their hand. But thats really everywhere!! Definitely dont wear my expensive shoes when I go. I would also say there is not enough seating available for people watchers. lol One of the things I like is the huge screen they play music videos on as you try to dance to one of the Beyonce songs. LOL
If you are into Salsa or Merengue the Rain section of the club plays the best - mixed in with a bit of Cumbia, Bachata, Spanish Rock etc. Lately, they have started to play more of the Hip/Hop that you hear in the Drink Room. So its a bit of everything. The booths in this section are very dim - they could use a bit more lighting or then again it could be part of the ambiance.
The karaoke bar is pretty nice as well...the chairs could be better but they are comfy enough to sit back on and have a good laugh at people or sing along with them.
The 80s Room - Ill have to admit I really dont spend much time there but its definitely were large groups/parties of people gather and hear old jamz.
Overall, for any diverse music lover or anyone who just really loves to dance to top Hip/Hop & Pop Music & Latin Music & 80s music all in one night - this is a good place to go to. If you more into the retro - posh -techno need to be seen kinda of vibe, then you may want to try elsewhere.
- Pros: free parking, cheap cover, good music, three clubs in one
- Cons: can get crowded

I went for my cousins Birthday and it was like 8 of us and dont get me wrong I had fun when like in the begining but then it started to get later, and People where coming in like ants. In the main room gets full very fast and you dont have room to dance, nasty guys that are with there fat chicks are touching other girls a**, and their chicks dont care. I got my drinks very fast so that was a problem. One of my friends was dancing with her Boyfriend and this Cholo whannabe was trying to cut in like if it was his girl. We had to push him away. I really didnt like really at the end, and thats cause it should get better at that time. I really dont recommend it.
- Pros: it can be okay
- Cons: to many people
I dont think so

Drink Houston had a low cover charge 8 for girls 12 for men. That was a good thing as well as the large size with 3 diff rooms if you wanted to hear different music. Mixed crowd including all races (although there are more hispanics who attend). That is all for the good about this club.
The bad things:
Terrible fat people in spandex clothes. I was shocked at the way these overweight old muffin tops were walking around drunk and bumping into others with their nastiness. The music would be off sometimes like the hip hop room playing techno.
- Pros: large size
- Cons: crowd
