The good and the Ugly...Must read.lol. great drinks, great company, easy location.quiet and simple..Thats the good!!!Lets go straight to ugly skip bad...seriously is SERVICE..bad attitude, confrontational, overcharge ur credit card and just plain ignorant with no public relation skills..Use to go there with a friend to get hammered.run a high tab and tip great..for bad service,i wont patronise this fine establishment again..Great owners, bad service.Keep that in mind.If you do have a problem with your service, the waitress will tell you to come back the next day..The night manager doesnt take complaints i was told...Oh i almost forgot,,maybe it was a black thing.lol.i dont know..Just a thought......

Real food, cheap pints, great service. If you're looking for a neighborhood bar that's laid back, casual, with real food, and you like to hear the conversation going on, this place is it. Tables to sit down at, daily menus specials, sandwiches, traditional English food, standard appetizers $3.50 pints, $3.50 Guinness all the time, and the two times I've been there I've had the best service I've ever had in a pub or bar.

My husband & I sit inside at a table. We come & go before 10pm before the big crowds. I have food allergies & both times I've been here the wait staff was SO nice, actually went back to the kitchen to check ingredients for me. The baked potato is huge, the fried pickles are very peppery, but good with the mustard that's on the table.

Great place. I have been here several times and it is always a great place to enjoy lunch or come in on friday nights for karaoke. It was definitely not what I was expecting when I first walked in. The atmosphere is very welcoming and they have great drinks too! I am an avid karaoke fan so this place is great if you love karaoke. It does get somewhat packed so get there early if you want to sing! The people there are great and everyone always has a great time.

Absolutely fantastic!. We were visiting friends in Houston and since they heard it was a good place they took us. What a night - the friendliest barstaff and customers we have ever seen. It was like having instant friends - could not believe the great entertainment and singers they have at karaoke since we were there on a Friday night. Then to top things off we got perfect meals that you certainly don't expect from a tavern. It may look like an Irish pub but it is full of true Texas hospitality and it showed the way most of the crowd knows each other and their way of making strangers feel at home.

Cheers. Nestled between the Shadowbriar and Royals Oaks neighborhood of SW Houston is a nice little place with an atmosphere of family and friends. It was my first time there and Karaoke night also. I laughed, joined in at times and reminisced of my youth with the oldies that were sung. The food was also good and affordable. I?d give it a big thumbs up and five stars as well.

Black People stay away!!!!!!. Going to this tavern was like being at a KKK party. Black people are not welcome there at all. The bartenders were very rude and majority of the customers were so nasty and had very ugly attitudes. The only reason we there was because of a very good friend. She goes there alot and I think they are just use to seeing her there alot with her white friends. "I thought we have over came." Also the food was terrible, even the fries. They should put a "Whites Only" sign out front.

Food is good, but service is not. We went here for lunch one day with almost the whole company of about 20. It was a last minute lunch idea and its not like the place gets packed for lunch that much anyway. You would think they want service but on the contrary, the bartender chick and waitress acted in a very rude manner when we arrived telling them we had a big party. Even though we HELPED moved the tables together and we arrived first with a small group and others followed. The bartender got an attitude with us b/c we grabbed another table instead of being glad for our business she made an ugly face and snapped at one of us for not making an appointment. Was greatly uncalled for. While the food is good, I think they need to reevaluate the people working there. For if it wasn't such a big party we were with, I would of walked out right at the first instance of rudeness from the first waitress, much less the second waitress behind the bar! They could lose a lot of business for Customer service

Very Dissappointing!. We were good customers of this place for quite awhile. Now, to tell you the truth, it's not even worth mentioning the name. This bar was convenient for us because of location. Now we rather make the extra drive to other locations. We met the usual customers and made friends with some of the good staff. Unfortunately, most of the staff does not have any manners. They were rude and showed no class. I mean, we know this is bar, but you can't treat your customer this way. We put up with this mess, but enough was enough. This bar has lost my business FOREVER. We paid high tabs, had parties, left very, very nice tips, but now my business will be going elsewhere. I recommend that you not visit this place. If you must, beware. I feel, as person who believes in good customer service, that I am obligated to let everyone know that this place is not the place to go. I am very disappointed.

Great Guinness, great nosh!!. The Bull&Bear is the best place on the west side to grab a Guinness and some honest-to-goodness Irish grub. We've been going since they opened, and we have never been disappointed. Yes, it's a bit smoky, but it IS a bar. The dining section is separated from the entertainment section by a wall, and the bar with its *magnificent* selection of draught beers is almost the length of the establishment. The waitstaff have always been pleasant and are usually quick as well. The early crowd can be a bit geriatric, but that's simply a testament to the quality and price of the beer and food, I think. I mean, you just can't beat $3 pints of Guinness! I would definitely put this place on your list of must-visit pubs.

Westside pub and eatery beloved by regulars for sports and a better-than-average beer selection.. In Short
Though far from "authentic," the pub--with its warm woods and cheery Guinness signs--is cozy and welcoming. More than 30 varieties of import and national beers are on tap and a varied menu (for lunch or dinner) runs the gamut from burgers and bar fare to bangers and mash and rib eyes. The kitchen serves until 10pm Sunday through Thursday and midnight on weekends. Big-screen TVs broadcast the local teams as well as soccer and rugby. Free Wi-Fi available.
