The Tavern has moved to 3017 Milam. The Tavern has moved to 3017 Milam and they still have a great karaoke show on Tuesday nights, with drink specials.

WORST bar in Houston.
I was at Tavern on a Wednesday night for steak night with a few friends. Let me say the steaks are fantastic. But you will not hear me say fantastic and Tavern on Gray in the same sentence ever again. The bartenders have no sense of customer service. When my friends and I went outside after eating, we sat at the bar. The female bartender never even acknowledged that we were there. She was speaking to another customer. A simple "I'll be right with you" would have been enough to be fine. After about 10 minutes, I asked, "are you going to serve us?" Her response, "apparently not". Logically we were pissed off! We went back inside and continued having a great time. I mentioned to the male bartender inside about the rudeness outside. (I later found out that he is the bar manager) He said to us that we were the ones being rude. So of course we disagreed and he continued to argue with us. I am all for a good discussion, but when it is your customers, the ones who are spending their money with you, that you are arguing with, come on, seriously??? The dude got so irate that he took our last beer order and then got to of the bouncers to remove us from their place!!!! Yes, we were kicked out, right after we had just ordered a round of beers and we weren't even able to drink them.
Also, never give them your credit card for tabs, use cash, trust me. You will find all sorts of charges on your card. All small amounts but in abundance.
Needless to say, I will never ever visit this place again.

Great Pub - Incredible Steaks. Always loved it as a Pub / Sports Bar. Just recently had a Steak on their Steak Night ( a Sunday ) it was incredible. Better than the expensive steak houses for only $15 !!!!!!!!!

My kind of bar!. The ladies specials are awesome. When I get off work it's nice to be able to drink for a reasonable price!

Best Ribs in Town.
This is my favorite Pub / Sports Bar, but what is awesome is the great food specials. BBQ Pork Ribs that are amazing on Mondays and Fridays. The other specials are good but the ribs have got me hooked.

Great Steak on Weds & Sunday, Tuesday NTN Trivia Contest.
They grill steak on an open pit every Tuesday and Sunday. The quality is excellent and very rerasonable. Draft beer is good and cold and the taps are kept clean - I've never had a flat beer or one that tasted bad. There is a good draft selection as well. If you like NTN Trivia or poker, they have it and will turn it on for you, even during a big sports night.
Downside to that "Longest Bar in Texas" thing: The bartenders need roller skates to keep up and it's easy to be forgotten when the staff is light. Tip: Go when Shannon's working. She's super friendly and takes excellent care of her customers.

What a bar/pub should be. Great steak, cold beer, and a nice ambiance what else do you need(lol)? I recommened everyone to stop by and get a cold one.

Good grub...cheap pints... dishy birds..
This isn't really an English pub. The only thing English about this place is the Union Jack flag. The rest is anything but English.
The service has always been good, except on busy days. Then again, that's usually the case anywhere you go.
They have a good happy hour, a fun place to go on Tuesday night karaoke. Decent steak on Wednesday/Sunday steak night.
The worse was when I saw my credit card statement. I was charged twice. The transaction was for the same amount, the same tip, the same day, the same time. I had to dispute it through my credit card as it's futile arguing it through the management.
If you ever want to come to this place, pay cash. This wasn't the first time I have seen this problem at this establishment. Other than that, it's a fun place to go.
