Tips for The Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa

One of a Kind. I've been to private clubs in other cities as well as Bally, 24 Hour and the Downtown Y in Houston. The Houstonian beats them all in terms of variety, quality and newness of equipment, variety of classes (including a fully equipped Pilates studio) and fabulous full spa in its own building. There is indoor parking and three outdoor pools and tennis. Only things lacking are indoor pool and indoor tennis. Hotel quality towels, full lounges with accessories, and free WiFi are also a plus. Like a full resort at home. One of a kind.

Over the top. Not your run of the mill health club. This club is expensive to join, but you get what you pay for. The thing that sets it apart is the hotel quality towels and robes, the amenities in the locker rooms bath area. And in the workout areas, the service you receive while working out is amazing...someone bringing you water, towels, a paper or magazine, etc. It's just another 'world' of service through a large staff of people willing to help you at any turn. Less expensive clubs can't match that. I'm spoiled and don't look at other clubs the same anymore.
