Tips for The Houstonian Hotel, Club, & Spa

They treat their customers great, I can really say that this place is just one of the best in the city to go and stay at if you have nowhere else to go.

I have had spa treatments at several different places and I have not found any yet that compare to the treatment at the Houstonian. It's not just the spa treatments but the personnel are fabulous

Unprofessional. Recruits staff from other spas.

Do it the real way train them like we all do.

We are an Aveda Concept Salon in Sugarland.

Professionals train their people from school to the position of professional.

Shame on you are you ready for Sugarland?

Only the best work here.

5 Star+++. The best classes and the most comfortable gym. Lots of space to move about. Love the aerobic equipment and you can't beat Center Court for chowing down! Pools (all 3) are fantastic and now they are adding indoor Tennis courts plus outdoor ones along with more parking, Staff is super friendly and so helpful.

As to the review that talks about "bikini clad men around the pool". Helloooooo! They are swimmers and they do have a very active swim team. Where are your brains? This is the best fitness, spa and hotel facility I have ever been to around the world and you do pay a lot, but you get a lot: security, cleaniiness, top notch staff and the most luxurious amenities. The best of the best!

Good club but..... The Houstonian is more of a place where people go to be seen so that it makes them feel like they are someone. The fee to join is expensive but once you are in you will be hanging out wih some rich people and it should make you feel like a big dog. There are some really pretty girls there and I always felt like this was more of a pick up place than a gym. The Hot girls make it way better to work out if you do go to workout. If you have some extra money to throw around this is a great place. The gym is good but not the best, the pool is nice and the feel is good. All in all I gave it 4 stars because it is a good place. Even tho this place might have some wanabees there is still the crowd that wishes they could afford to join and you will see them trying to come but security quickly puts a stop to that.

Not A Great Club. This is more of a hotel club. Where foreign men in brief bikini's and gold chains sit around the pool glaring at young girls in skimpy bikinis. Yes they have a fitness center which is no better than many other clubs around town such as " the Met or City Club". The tennis is almost non-existent as I tried to get some play time there and it didn't exist, except for the occasional ' Barbie dolls" who came to play. This has a very corporate feel, not a warm and friendly feel. Don't get me started on the spa which was horrible. I went there a few times trying to give it a chance. They did the wrong treatments, they over charged me, one time they even LOST me and I was sitting in a chair and didn't move. Thirty minutes late they came and got me, saying they lost me but on top of that my treatment was cut 30 minutes short and it was there fault. I was an original member way back in the beginning and then moved out of town. Came back to Houston and reactivated my account. Six months later I closed it and moved to the University Club.
