Excellant For Date Night. I choose a corner booth for my date & I which was very comfortable & private. Waiter was very friendly & professional. We had the chicken & shrimp fettucini alfredo; which was the best I've ever had. They also have a great selection of breads, salads & wine to go along with the dinner. The live Jazz band was a very nice addition! Be sure to call ahead to make sure what time they will be playing. It can really impress your date! We plan on going back for our anniversary.

all around average. food was ok, service was ok, a little over priced on some things. seated pretty quickly, i dont recommend the pasta.

Best Bread Pudding. I've been here a couple of times. Tried to go back tonight only to find they're closed on Sunday's. I missed out! They have the most amazing bread pudding. I keep bugging my husband to take me back for the dessert alone. I had a steak there that was great. I liked the atmosphere and was happy with the service. Even though it's in a shopping center with a neon sign, it is a great place. Glad to find a nice place to eat in Katy!

With the soft jazz music, candlelight, refined service and white tablecloths, it's easy to forget you're in a strip mall in Katy. The continental menu features a number of Italian dishes, including pastas (all named after famous jazz musicians) and Marsala dishes. The rest of the menu tends toward seafood and steaks. Neighborhood regulars make this a favorite date spot on the weekends for live jazz music. The Bistro also hosts popular wine dinners.

Best Food and Service around. I've never been disappointed at this restaurant. The wait staff is top-notch and the food is excellent and nicely presented. I don't know where the other reviewer was but he wasn't at Bistro 829! The music is excellent and not too loud. The tables aren't too close and the other patrons' conversations don't drown out your own. Please don't bring your kids. We were seated in the larger room the last time we went and the kids at the other table didn't stop talking loudly and running around the whole time we were there. We were really looking forward to a luxurious experience, too. Didn't detract from the service or meal, though.

User review by k8long. They have the best homemade bleu cheese dressing that makes for a great wedge salad. They also offer a nice wine list selection as well as a variety of wine flights. Overall, it was a great dining experience made better by the nice jazz ensemble playing.

Awesome. This restaraunt is great. I have never had such great service, and not a single restaraunt within 30 miles can compare. They had big private rooms, live jazz, and the best priced wine list anywhere. In the loop quality without the drive or price. The chef came by our table and he was a pleasure to speak with. Awesome family owed place.

Not Impressed. Restaurant was dark and poorly decorated. There was an attempt to present the food in unique way but it failed to pass the taste test. Definitely not top quality but they price as though it is.
