“good service”
“Gowns are pricey but they're all QUALITY designer gowns (Vera Wang etc).”
Louise Blum.
I have also been experiencing the same situation with Louise Blum. The situation with the change over to Alfred Angelo has been horrible. Not only have they given us the run around on alterations, storing the dress, but they also forgot to order our flower girl dress and basically lied to us about it until it was too late to get another one.
Not sure if your wedding has already passed, but after much fighting with alfred angelo corporate, they allowed us to have the dress altered in the store by the old Louise Blum tailor (who did an incredible job on a very intricate all lace dress), in addition they are going to reimburse us the cost of having the dress steamed in Austin (where we are getting married) since they were no longer able to store and prep the dress as originally agreed to.
I can put you in touch with the tailor if Alfred Angelo refuses...hope it works out!
I can probably help you goldie21. i used to work with Louise Blum a while back and still am in touch with their former head seamstress. Let me know if you are interested!
Do Not Buy Your Dress Here - The store is closing soon. I ordered my beautiful dress from here over three months ago and it arrived a few days ago so no problem there. Then I went to pick it up for alterations and found out they "no longer do alterations". When I asked why they reluctantly said that the store is closing August 1 and will be Alfred Angelo. They also will not deliver the dress or spot clean as originally promised. It's sad that they are closing and not offering the customer service that was promised.
Awesome Experience. I was a little nervous walking in to Louise Blum, it was my first time looking at wedding gowns. My associate was super sweet and made me feel really comfortable. I did not buy my dress on the first visit because I wanted to shop around, but I did find myself back in Louise Blum for "the dress". I have been working with my associate for a few months now and have had nothing but the best service and experience. I WILL be bringing ALL of my friends to Louise Blum when they get engaged!
Looks down on customers. It really is a shame to house such beautiful dresses alongside some of Houston's worst sales ladies. Even though I had booked an appointment, my sales girl disappeared and pretty much ignored me. She tried to talk me into certain dresses even after I told her they weren't my style. She had the manager try to sell me too. Then they both ignored me. I'd rather wear nothing than deal with their 'service'.
Fabulous Service. I can't believe that some one might say that the customer service is poor at Louise Blum. I flew from New Orleans just to see what was in stock. They made me feel like a princess so I chose to order from them. I will then fly to Houston for all of my subsequent fittings. Also, I am currently overweight, so the samples wouldn't fit me properly. This was a disheartening experience for any bride to be, but they made me feel beautiful and special. Even though I couldn't have the experience of trying on every dress in the store, they allowed me to try on headpieces and veils so that I didn't miss out on feeling like a bride. When it came time to order my gown, they worked with the designer to ensure that I ordered the perfect dress in the perfect color. The only challenge is that the dresses in this store may be too expensive for some brides. However, you get what you pay for....
POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Unfortunately, I fell in love with a Vera Wang dress online, and Louise Blum is the ONLY bridal salon in Houston to carry Vera Wang. Thus, I was forced to deal with their poor customer service and lack of attention or concern. No one ever answered their phones or returned their calls. It seemed like their computers were always "down". They do not seem to have their act together at all. I was very disappointed with their service and promptness. I would NEVER go through them again and ended up going through SAKS bridal for my dress. It was an awful experience- in what should've been a wonderful experience.
AWESOME experience. I purchased my wedding gown from this store in 2002. Friendly associates and GREAT selection! Gowns are pricey but they're all QUALITY designer gowns (Vera Wang etc).
A bridal store that carries the hottest names in wedding wear..
In Short
Amsale and Vera Wang, luxury labels in which Hollywood wives have taken their first steps, are both present and accounted for at Houston's swish-est bridal salon. Brides looking for the latest silhouettes might gravitate to any one of the better brands, which also include Reem Acra and Wearkstatt. Traditional styles are also abundant. There's something for every bride, provided she has the budget.
good service. I expected a very snobby and hoity-toity atmosphere. As a bridesmaid, I went with the bride to help her pick out a wedding dress. The associate was very helpful and kind. She was patient as well, and not only attentive, but down to earth. These dresses are very high end, so I expected snooty salespeople, but it was not the case here.
