Amado Salon – The owner, Kimberly Wilson Daily has been cutting & styling my hair for 25yrs. I have followed throughout Houston and so proud that she has her own salon! She is a very talented, artistic and professional hair stylist. I've told her she is not allowed to retire till I"m not around, I could never imagine letting anyone other than Kim, cut my hair! Kimberly and her staff know how to make you feel special and create a new you.
Amado also has 2 great skincare lines that I love ! Overall an awesome salon!!
Fun Salon, Great Cuts, Color and More – This is a clean, hip, yet friendly and fun salon. Kimberly Wilson Daly is the owner and she consistently goes above and beyond for her clients. You'll be sure to have a haircut that is right for you and a positive experience. She also carries a great line up of different products for your hair. Check her bargain bin for some real finds!
Kimberly has many long time clients (such as myself) and we are very happy that she now has her own salon.
Excellent Japanese Straightener – I have very curly & frizzy hair so of course I want straight hair. I've tried many different things but came across the Japanese straightener - Keratin. It doesn't use harsh chemicals and left my hair feeling very smooth. The process took about 3 hours but Kim did a great job and was definitely worth the money! Since my hair was so curly, I still had to straighten it to be completely straight but I was amazed that my flat iron process went from an hour to 15 mins! Kim has many years of experience with the process so I knew I was in good hands. I definitely recommend anyone interested in the Japanese straightener to go see Kim.
Ahh those were the days! – I have known Kimberly Wilson, a native of New Orleans, since 1985. Back then, Kimberly was working for Visible Changes as one of their most sucessful stylists. Ahh, those were the days! 80's club music at Fizz Club on Richmond Avenue and Ocean Club on St. James, ectasy, big hair and no AIDS to speak of! I get goosebumps just thinking about all the good times we had together. Wish we could go back and do it again!
Dinamite haircuts – Kimberley has been cutting my hair for at least 20 years...my haircut is extremely hard to cut and Kimberley is the only stylist in town that can do it correctly and the only one I trust to cut my hair...I do not let anyone else touch my hair...I freaked out several years ago when she was out on pregnancy leave....three months without her and my hair was a mess...no one could duplicate her cut...go there and see Kim if you want the latest styles and the latest updates...she is really great and a professional every step of the way...her shop is very cozy and warm....a great section of town near River Oaks.....she offers other services in her salon is you have other needs.....Helen, her receptionist, is very sweet and accomomodating.....you will not go wrong if you go to see Kimberely I can assure you......JBG
Great Hair Salon! – Kimberly, the owner of Amado has been doing my hair for at least 15 years. She is very talented, professional and always listens to what I want and like. The atmosphere of the shop is great.
And her jewelry line ROCKS! I recommend her to everyone that I know.
Joseph at Amado is Houston's best kept secret! – My search for the best hairstylist and colorist in town is OVER!
I went to Joseph at Amado Salon for the first time after searching for a great hairstylist in town. After going to a few places --all high-end salons-- I have found one of Houston's best kept secrets for hair... Joseph!
If you like someone who is a master at what he does, and his experience shows in his style and form of cutting, as well as coloring, you must try him.
I've been to Houston's great salons, and quite frankly, left dissapointed either with the stylist's experience, the exhuberant cost of the service, felt unattended, or just plain not happy with the end-result of the style.
This is probably the first time I didn't have to go home and re-do my hair after getting it done. It was just perfect. The color, the cut... all sharp and well done.
The salon is very nice, welcoming, they offer you wine or soft drinks, and the service and Joseph's attention to being personable yet very professional is top-notch.
I highly recommend Joseph and will follow this stylist wherever he goes. Definately one of Houston's best kept secrets.
Great looks with superb service!! – Amado is the place to go if you want prompt, friendly, down-to-earth service and a great hair cut!! They have a full service salon including massage, facials, and nails. Kim and Ruth are friendly and really care about their clients.
Fantastic salon – I really didn't know what to expect when I had my first visit here. I actually passed it the first time because it isn't like an ordinary salon. It is an ordinary looking house. The atmosphere is very friendly. You can get your hair done there along with your nails and a massage or facial. Ruth really is wonderful with hair.
Best Salon in Town – Amado salon not only has a great facility and tons of great products to buy but the service is great. They will go out of there way to make appointments to fit your time schedule and have excellent product knowledge and recommendations. Ruth is a great stylist and manicurist. She is outgoing, easy to talk to and very creative. She knows her stuff and I would recommend her to all that I meet.
