In Short – The unpretentious dining room of Joyce's Seafood & Steaks is decorated in a cheery and whimsical nautical theme, making it a pleasant place to spend an hour while dining on fresh seafood. Unusual dishes include blackened catfish enchiladas, New Orleans BBQ shrimp, shrimp and lobster enchiladas and grilled fish tacos. Standards, such as gumbo, raw oysters, mussels, grilled mahi mahi and fried shrimp are also available. Popular desserts include bread pudding and crème brulee.
Really good seafood

Don't let the hidden location dissuade you; it is worth the effort, as the seafood here is as fresh as any upscale seafood restaurant in town. The chef in my opinion does an exception job of preparing the dishes I have sampled, and the presentation is always top notch. The interior decor is a bit over the top with the whole "wharf" theme, but the food is the star. The sauteed calamari is one of my personal favorites; fresh calamari, sauteed, not fried (fried is an option).
- Pros: Fresh menu as good as any
- Cons: Decor is not to my tastes

$50 for lunch for 2 with no booze! The waiter didn't speak English. No matter what salad dressing you request they bring the same one. No bread, no water. The gumbo was burned as was the coffee. The place had maybe 5 tables filled, Oh yes and my favorite gripe, they charge exactly the same for a glass of Porto Bin 27 as I paid for a bottle at Specs yesterday. That is why we had no drinks
Best seafood PERIOD!!!

My first time to try Joyce's and it will not be my last. This was 10 times better than Gaido's or Casey's in Galveston, not to mention Pappadeaux or Landry's. I and my partner had a small Ceasar salad to start off with, the house Chardonnay was fantastic. I order combination seafood platter (shrimp and catfish) and it was the best and freshest I've ever had. My partner had the rainbow trout encrusted with pistachio nuts off of the tonights specials list. He said this was our new seafood hangout. I ate too much to try a dessert, but the next time I will have the White Chocolate Bread Pudding.
- Pros: Everything was great!

Know Before You Go:
The entrance can be a bit tough to find, as the restaurant itself does not face San Felipe. Turn on Winrock (by the Whataburger) to see the main entrance, then park under the Joyce's sign.
