MASSAGE NIGHTMARE. Last year (2011) I visit the spa and it was fabulous. Melissa was my massage therapist and Anna was my nail tech. They were two of the best spa employees I have ever experienced in my lifetime......DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE MELISSA WENT??????

2012........they are both no longer working there.......

I was referred to JOHN to massage me..........this was literally the worst massage I have ever had in my entire life. I paid for a deep tissue and the guy was petting me like I was a fragile infant......NO pressure....I asked him verbally to please rub hard....this guy is ridiculously terrible. I wanted to cry I was so angry. To top it off there was no manager there to authorize not charging me....I paid, submitted a complaint, called and it is going on 5 days later and management has not contacted me!!!!

The spa facility is nice, it is relaxing.......but.......make sure you know who you are going to see for an appointment. They have new staff I guess and this man was THE WORST.

I suggest Trellis Spa at the Houstonian and the ZaSpa at the Hotel ZaZa. not sure about all of the employees now but JOhn wasn't worth $10 at a nail salon for a massage........SMH....still mad and confused about why he was so terrible. and I was told he actually trains the other massage techs......

The ONLY place around for true relaxation!. I'm a long time client of the friendswood location and I really believe this is a wonderful place to go. I won't lie and say that EVERY time I go everything is perfect, but I will say that the one or two times I have had an issue the customer service people were very helpful. The last time I went in it was a the last Sunday of the month and I had forgotten about that being men's day. That meant that the men's had use of the women's lounge (where the hot tub is) and they women were in the men's lounge. I was a little disappointed that I couldn't use the hot tub and told the girl checking me out about it, and she gave me 10% off my service right then and there! You can't beat service like that! Plus the services I have had there have always been of a very high quality. You really can't find another place like this in the area.

Such a unique experience!. My sister was in town visiting and I suggested that we have a spa day for some quality bonding time. I had never been to this particular spa before so I researched it online and checked out some of the reviews other people had posted. Let me tell you something....those people who had posted nightmarish things about this place must have been off their rockers!

I experienced nothing but friendliness and a warm atmosphere from the moment I called to make the appointments all the way until I left the place. The staff was very helpful and informative. My sister and I got there a little early like the girl suggested and spent a bit of time in the hot tub relaxing before our appointments began, so we were already relaxed before we even started!

We had scheduled massages and facials (both of which were amazing!) and when I had called to make the appointment a couple of weeks ago I was told the price would be $190 per person for both services. I was willing to pay what seemed a little higher than most places because of the cool features in the waiting area (hot tubs and steam room), but when I went to pay for everything the girl at the counter told me that they were celebrating some kind of anniversary and had lowered their prices. I ended up only paying $160 per person, and with that extra money I saved my sister and I had a wonderful lunch that afternoon, too!

Overall it was a great day that I got to spend with my sister relaxing, and for us that is a rare thing! I would recommend this place to everyone I talk to!

SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. OVERPRICED, BAD STAFF, AND DIRTY.

I feel very misled by the positive reviews on here. There is no possible way that someone can rate this place 5 stars given the current level of their service and the condition of the facility.

I scheduled a full body massage for myself (50 min) and pedicure for my fiance. It is very expensive for the massage (almost double what you would pay at like massage envy) and the pedicure price is a bit higher as well.

The bathroom in the men's locker room had feces in the toilet and on the floor. It was the most disgusting site I have ever seen in a bathroom. Clearly, it had not been cleaned for quite some time because there was trash everywhere.

The massage was done by someone fresh out of massage therapy school (3 months experience). He was absolutely awful and considering I paid almost 100 dollars for it made it even worse. When you go to a top dollar retreat like this you expect to pay for good service. This was pathetic.

My fiance said it was the worst pedicure she has ever gotten in her life. I dont know much about pedicures but it was clear the lady didnt do a good job.

This is not worth the money at all. It is dirty, overpriced, and the staff is not good at their jobs. The lady at the front was nice, but that is about all that was pleasant.

worst managment!!!. DONT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE!!! Alll the good reviews are fake! they get their employees to write good reviews. their customer services sucks. they treat people like they are lucky that you let them come there. they have black mold all over the womens lounge and dont get in the hot tubs because no telling what kind of infection you will have when you get out.it has ants and slime floting in it. And the lady ( stephanie) that is supose to be the manager actually has no power to make any decisions at all without talking to the owner first, she actually told me that the amenities are not included, they are extra!!!oh really, a 100 for a massage!!! and i cant use the pool with the slime in it.. and that may take months to get an answer back. they have given the the run around every time that i have called to speak to the owner. these people really must not know that there are 15 other place in the area that are cheaper..

Great First Impression!. Very serene and calming atmosphere. Came here for a massage after a bad experience at another Spa in the area- definitely suggest coming here. This is a high end spa worth the prices!! Got an amazing Volcanic massage and was actually treated to an extra ten minutes by the therapist because she didnt have anyone and was not charged for it. Great cusomer service!

Impressed. Went in for a waxing appointment and I was impressed when I walked through the door. Front desk is very professional and polite, the technician who did my waxing was very kind and made sure I was pleased with the service. She even walked me out and assisted me in booking for my next appointment. Very Pleased!

Bergamos = Wow!. So all I can say about Bergamos is WOW!!

From the moment you walk in door to the moment you leave you are nothing but relaxed...The customer service is excellent! It's all about pampering. I personally receive waxing and facial treatments and my skin looks amazing. The lines of skin care there are top of the line and trust me you WILL see results.

Take it from me...Bergamos is an incredible experience from beginning to end!!

Best gift for your significant other or yourself!. My wife won a gift card to Bergamos Spa Retreat in Friendswood from a silent auction. She dragged me in for their couples night. Let's just say I was less than please on the way there....

However, to my surprise, not only were the massages amazing, but the ambience was really nice. We got there early enough to enjoy the plunging pools and steam room before our service which was very relaxing. My wife loved it so much I am going to get her a gift card for Christmas, Valentine's day and Mother's day. It's the easy gift that she will absolutely love.

Best Spa in Clearlake area!. It's difficult to find a high caliber spa in the Clearlake area. I was pleasantly surprise to discover Bergamos Spa Retreat in Friendswood. I had a deep tissue massage with John and he put me in la-la-land. I have been looking for a great therapist since moving here and I am so glad that I found John. I also was able to get a custom nail art thanks to Shannon. She made my hands and feet look and feel amazing! And Issis is a Lash goddess! My lash extensions look so natural I will never let anyone else touch them.
