“The margaritas are good and strong like I like it and food is fantastic, especially the quesadilas =) On a pretty day when the weather is nice it can get pretty crowded but it's still a fun place to be.”
“From crab cakes eggs benedict, custom omelets made to order, sauteed snapper and fresh bagels and lox, I was at a loss where to even begin.”
“The restaurant is very hip and the food and drinks are great.”
“overpriced, but good fish tacos”
“The other locations do not offer the extensive brunch menue available at Montrose.”
“The best restaurant to hang out in!”
“Everybody's just sooo friendly & you'll feel right at home :) Can't wait to have my Berryhill fix!”
“The food here is very flavorful and not pricey at all.”
Hard to fault the place!!.
Try it, you'll like it!
Hard to say no to this place.
Just look at how many regulars frequent the place!!
Cons: some of the bartenders do little more than next to nothing compared to some of the other workers.
Heard great things, was disappointed. I've heard lots of great things about Berryhill Baja Grill and was excited to finally go. It was clear upon interacting with the hostess that she was hired by a man who was more interested in looks than any semblance of skill. The wait staff tried to bring us the wrong order. I'm confused; shouldn't that type of thing be curtailed by the little plastic triangle on the table with my order number on it? One of my companions asked the waiter if he could warm her food, it was cold by the time the rest of our food arrived. He said yes and then walked away. It was clear that he did not understand what she asked. I was surprised, however, that he didn't return with someone who would understand. The appetizer was brought out with the entree. The food tasted like an Italian chef blundered his way through his estimation of a tex-mex recipe. The mozzarella in the stuffed poblano made it tasteless and cooled into unappetizing chunks of cheese as I chewed. The sauce on the poblano tasted like a marinara. The "award winning" fish taco was flavorless, possibly some sauce might have made it taste good? The beans tasted like they came straight out of a can. No seasoning, no salt, no nothing. I feel confident in saying that I will not return to Berryhill again.
Best Brunch Party in the State, Fabulous Food, and Margaritas to die for!. This place is home to quite possibly the best Sunday patio party in the universe. The DJ spins house music from the late afternoon into the night, and a great time is had by all. The food is also excellent- everything from fish tacos to salads to burritos and tamales are freshly prepared and enjoyable. The margaritas have also been on the shortlist for best in the city every year since it was built. Go and enjoy Houston residents!
do u really want to get sick?. I do not go out. I love to cook at home my own gourmet meals. but I just had to meet a friend at this place and had something so simple i knew it would be good. The chk quesadilla. Oh so wrong! That night I got so horribly sick. Never again. how could I forget the reason I do not go out to eat. How are we to know that the guy that just moved a table to the outside washed his hands when he went to the kitchen. it looks like the bussers are also the servers.
BAD PLACE. THIS PLACE IS A VERY BAD PLACE TO GO, OWNER IS RUDE, NO GOOD SERVICE, 2 LOUD, BAD FOOD~~~~~~~~ SHAWN
really bad neighbors. This berryhills is a really bad neighbor. We live two blocks away and have to call the police every sunday night because their music is so loud. I tell everyone I know not to ever eat at any of the berryhills in this town because of this one location. I know they have good food but if they cannot be nice to their neighbors we do not need to support them.
Average food loud and noisy appeals to 20 something. Average food, no service at all. Very noisy you cannot hear yourself think from loud music. Cold bartenders and cashiers. Difficult to gather up all the supplies you need to eat, you have to make several trips around to various places to get your utensils, water, tea, wine, chips, salsa before you can actually sit down. A hang out for drunk 20 somethings mostly avoid entirely this place on Fridays, Sat and especially Sundays.
Sunday is Fun Day. If you want to party and have a good time come here on Sunday but come early if don't want to wait in line. The margaritas are good and strong like I like it and food is fantastic, especially the quesadilas =) On a pretty day when the weather is nice it can get pretty crowded but it's still a fun place to be.
not good. This food was simply NOT GOOD. The spinach and corn tamale was unique and the cheese enchilada was okay, but the rest was not worth it. The beef fajita meat had to be pre-marinated John Soules, the black beans were bland and the rice was not good. The margarita was okay, kind of tart, but okay. We will not waste our time on this place again.
they opened in the Heights. We are so excited. There is now a Berryhill's in the Heights. Went there last Sunday late afternoon and the place is fab. It really is fast service and the queso and nachos were spicy and really great.
