Will be a regular!. Just had my hair cut by Dana, and I can honestly say its the best cut I have had in years. Excellent price for the quality of service.

Awful!. Avoid this salon! They completely ruined my hair and had the nerve to still charge me their outrageous prices.

Houston's best place for hair care. When you walk in the door at Elements for the second time, everyone will know your name. All the excellent stylists are available for appointments; prices are quite reasonable and the work could not be better. But what keeps people coming back is the peaceful, genial, and quiet atmosphere, the friendliness and courtesy of the staff, the excellent Aveda products, and the restful experience you will have while there. I have been going there for about ten years and I would never go anywhere else. They even changed a flat tire for me last week! It's truly a "clean, well lighted place" in every sense of Hemingway's words.

Truly always the cut I want..and I'm not the easiest client!. I get my hair cut by their stylist Chantell every time I'm in Houston. I always give the most complicated instructions (I like an asymmetrical cut that's short and does some funky stuff) and she always pulls it off. I've been following her from previous salon's she has worked at but none have made me happier to spend my time in than Elements. The light is amazing cause they have walls of windows and the mirrors make the place so light and airy. If you are looking for something new or old, this is the place to go. And if you want my suggestion, ask for Chantell!

Cannot go wrong with Zach. I have been using Zach consistently for 6 years and on and off for the 3 years before that (I lived out of town) and have ALWAYS had excellent service from him. After so long, believe me, he knows my dirty laundry! I have 2 sisters and a mom use him on several occasions and he has never gossiped about any one of us to the other nor has he gossiped about other clients to me. He is extremely professional and abosutely cuts the best layers in town. I have very difficult hair to work with and "cheated" on him once when I was out of town, got an awful cut, and he was able to fix it into a trendy bob, I am in the bridal beauty business and have referred numerous clients to him and none have ever been disappointed!

Twice, I have had to use another stylist at Elements because I needed a trim within 24 hours notice and Zach was not available. BOTH of the stylist gave me an excellent cut with the same quality as Zach. Feel confident that all the stylists there wil do a great job, especially Zach.

Elements and Zach are THE BEST!. In respones to the review regarding Zach and unprofessional conduct. I have been going to Zach for well over 10 years. I have always had great cuts and color and he does exactly what I ask for. I look forward to going to see Zach to get my hair done everytime. It is always an enjoyable experience and I would never call him unprofessional in any way. He cares deeply about all of his clients and would never maliciously spread gossip or rumors.

WARNING HIGHLY unprofessional conduct. I started going to Zach for my cuts after a friend recommended him in June of 2007. The salon has a nice environment, a great location and is an Aveda salon, all of which appealed to me. I had some good cuts from Zach, and some bad cuts. The bad ones sound similar to the reviews other people have made, cut way shorter than we talked about, dry cut way too many layers in and thinned out my already thin hair too much, had a scheduling problem at least once and had someone waiting the entire time he was doing my hair and left me feeling like he rushed through my cut, but the last one that made me not return was when he cut what was supposed to be a shorter face framing layer way too far back to go all they way behind my ears, giving me the puppy dog ear look. I switched to another salon and had to go through two cuts to fix that problem.

Other than the cuts being hit or miss, I would not return to this stylist because of his wholly unprofessional conduct. He had always been friendly and nice to me in the salon, I thought we had a good rapport, and I had referred new clients to him. I only found out after I had stopped going to him that he had taken the time to make personal calls to two of his clients who know me and spread vicious gossip about myself and my boyfriend, whom he has never even met. I of course heard about this from the two people he called because they were my MOTHER and one of my good friends. Zach told my mother, who was also his client at the time, that he suspected my boyfriend of doing drugs. Zach has not ever talked to or met my boyfriend, I don't use drugs and never discussed drugs with Zach, his allegations are entirely untrue, and frankly it is not any of his business, as a hair dresser, even if it had been true. I was absolutely floored to hear my mother and my friend tell me that Zach had called them solely to gossip about me. I am, by the way, a 28 year old, self sufficient, successful business woman. Had I been a minor and he felt I was in danger, I MIGHT see his actions differently. In addition to the salacious gossip he started, he also commented to my friend about my hair having tangles in it when I came in to see him one time which he described to my friend as "s*x hair". I find any discussion of my s*x life (which had never been a topic of conversation between the two of us, if you were wondering), to another client HIGHLY unprofessional under any circumstances and plain rude. I had no disagreements or complaints with Zach or the salon before this and cannot see anything I have done or said that would motivate him to act like this. I now am left to wonder what gossip he may have also been spreading to other clients who are friends that I referred to him. If you choose to see Zach watch out because he has no sense of professionalism or boundaries and may try and meddle in your life the way he did with mine. I have heard of hair stylists gossiping before, but never like this. Could have done a lot more harm if he had tried spreading these rumors to people who don't know me so well and immediately dismissed what he said.

Tarah is Awesome!. I have been going to Elements for about a year now. The salon is beautiful and is always clean. The staff is very professional. I get my haircut by Tarah. She does an amazing job and gives me exactly what I want.
