Overall experience was superb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. When I made the reservation, I was asked if there was a special occassion. I informed them of our wedding anniversary. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and wished a happy anniversary. The customer service was excellent from the time that we walked through the door. We were promptly seated and the waiter was ready to assist us. My wife had an apple martini thst she said was the best martini that she has ever had. I sipped on a red Italina wine that went down smoothly. We had the opportunity to have some home-made flavored butter to spread on our bread and home-made biscuits. The presention of our main course was wonderful. Each of our plates was neatly arranged and had sufficient portions. The Rouge Restaurant definately gives you enough food to satisfy you. My wife had the pecan crusted red fish and I had the snapper. We tasted each others fish to see which one tasted better. We could not decide because they were both sooooo delicious. The red fish had a slight advantage due to the pecans. Both were cooked to perfection. We both were impressed with the tenderness of the vegetables. The consistency of our mashed potatoes was outright perfect. The jumbo shrimp was an added bonus. To top off our wonderful meal, we had dessert. Normally, we do not have dessert when we go out for dinner. This night was different because they had several dessert items that we wanted to try. Sorry, but I do not remember the name of the dessert, but it began with a T. It was amazing. I chose it because I have never seen it anywhere else. It was an excellent choice. To sum up, our waiter displayed polite, professional, and consistent service throughout the entire evening. The entire staff maintained this same top notch service. I told my wife that this will be our annual anniversary, but she wants to come at least once a month. We look forward to trying the Sunday brunch. Once again, thank you to the Rouge Restaurant for helping make our Anniversary special.

Excellent food and wine. We went to Rouge this past Saturday night with Vic & Mona for dinner, and had a wonderful time. The service was great and the food & wine was excellent. The steaks are huge!! We then enjoyed the show - which was really fun and entertaining. We will definately be going back.

Thanks for a very nice evening.

Brilliant Choice. My wife and I moved to Houston a year ago from London and have been searching the City for our favorite place. We found our favorite restaurant last Saturday night. We wandered into Rouge and meet the nicest people. The Food was excellent and the presentation absolutely brilliant. I enjoyed the short ribs which were falling off the bone delicious while my wife had a beautiful sea bass. Our waiter, Alfred did a great job and shared with us his love of the City. The owner Thomas came by and we visited about wine and he told us about his restaurant and gave us a bit of a tour. A brilliant place to go and share an excellent meal with friends and our new Rouge friends they made everyone laugh and feel at home.

The Meal. My wife and I had been to Rouge before and had a great time. We saw that they had a seven course mean that was paired with wines so we rounded our friends up and went. They were so gracious when we arrived unannounced to a full dinning room that they quickly found us a table for 6 and we ordered the dinner. Three hours seven courses and seven wines later with full stomachs, a satisfying buzz and a whole new way of looking at wine we were ready to go. We learned a lot about pairing wines, and asked many questions about why this wine with that and they were always quick with the answer and let me tell you they nailed the pairings. The wine brought out so many flavors you couldn?t find just eating the food. We will be going back for their new dinner when it comes out. Once again they were excellent all the way around.

They Were Right. Another couple took us to Dinner at Rouge. We live in Conroe but like to go into town to dine. We had never been there before but our friends raved about the place. We were greeted by a great Valet who was hustling all over the parking lot, and he ushered us in gracefully. Debi meet us at the door and then the magic began. It was like we were already family. They greeted our friends like royalty and then gave us the same treatment. Debi took us to a great little table by the wine room. You could spend some time just reading the labels in the window. Our waiter was right out of the old school, proper, pleasant and efficient. We ask about some wines and he sent Thomas over. He talked to us a few minutes and then picked some boutique wines for us that were cheaper than the names we were looking at. He was right on, the money. The food was fantastic and the presentation was awesome. Our friends just kept saying we told you so. We are going back soon and doing their wine paired meal. Great place and great people.

Love my Husband. My husband took me to Rouge last weekend and it was fantastic. He had been there on business a couple of times and chose this restaurant for our special night out, no kids. The decor was warm and inviting and the staff there made you feel like family. The food was excellent and when I ask the waiter what the special flavor on the Sea Bass was he said the Chef calls it ?A little extra Love.? We are wine people and their wine list was right on. The bottles were priced less than most of the other good restaurants and steakhouses we go to in town and the selection was great. I love my husband and taking me there well, he sure knows how to smooze a lady.

rouge -- go somewhere else for the same money. we went in tonight expecting a wonderful meal based on previous reviews. we were really disappointed. service was good. food was cold. for the price, i suggest you stick with the tried and true. we ventured out and spent alot of money for awful food. their focus is on banquets upstair and not on restaurant below. go to vic and anthony's, ruths chris, or any of the other tried and true for the same price. do not recommend. we left at 8:30 and were one of 2 tables occupied. as we left people were arrive for a banquet upstairs, gifts in hand. not a restaurant -- but a banquet hall --- which is the quality of the food served!

Best Mistake Ever. My wife and I wandered into Rouge last Saturday Night by mistake. We had been there a year ago and had a horrible experience. We were greated by the General Manger who seated us with a smile. While we were trying to figure how to get out of there gracefully, our server appeared and made us feel right at home. We learned about the new managment, the new chef, the new menu and it was all awesome. The food was great, and the service unbelievable. The GM came by chatted a bit and discovered it was my birthday. Instead of the usual cheesey desserts most restaurants send out, he sent me an incredible port to go along with the dessert I had selected. It was our error walking in, and our suprise at what we found. Going back very soon and look forward to seeing all the new friends we made there.

Great Venue. My Wife and I did a late Valentines last Saturday. I called the restaurant and pushed my reservation back two days and asked for the Valentines Package and the Roses they provided on Valentines Day. They agreed and it was perfect. The Roses arrived at the table immediately and the champagne was iced down just as promised. The meal was incredible and our waitress was friendly and informative. We loved the restaurant, the romantic setting and the food was one of the best meals I have had in a long time. Going back soon. We saw one couple doing their tasting menu. Looked awesome.
