“Onion Creek lives up to its reputation for being a slice of Austin in the heart of Houston from the racks of expensive bicycles piled out back to the small Saturday morning farmer's market that takes over the parking lot.”

The first of the family of Creek restaurants. Great patio, full bar, craft beer, great neighborhood vibe and for my money the best Chai Latte in town

The food at this funky bar is surprisingly good. And there's always a drink special to take advantage of.

Fun & Laid-Back. If you're looking for somewhere go where you can wear your flip flops and an old college t-shirt this is it! I love this place!! It's a coffee shop, bar, and resturant all in one. The patio is beautiful, a great place to sip a glass of wine or a cold beer. PLUS they have an old Miss Pac Man game too :-)

This Heights coffeeshop is home to some great live music and the Houston Farmers Market.. In Short
You're likely to find a band playing most nights at this casual neighborhood hangout. Breakfast treats include croissants, bagels, kolaches and coffee drinks. Lunch (served from 11:30am until 1:30am daily) focuses mainly on sandwiches, like the standout Country Ass Rueben and O.C. Poyboy, as well as salads, hot dogs, Frito pie and pizzas on cibatta bread. The wide selection of beer and wine rounds out the menu.

Almost Austin.. Good place to grab a drink with friends. The menu is small, but everything is good. Great place to make new freinds.

Houston's Central Perk. If you've seen "Friends" you'll know exactly what being coffee house is suppose to be like. Except, OC has food, wine and beer! The atmosphere is awesome, good crowd and music. This is a great place to hang out if youre just in the mood to relax and unwind with out ne hype. I go here at least once a week, check out their menu specials for crawfish and steaks!

Fun, relaxed place to hang. I really love their outdoor patio. The frozen lemonade is yummy and I

a good sandwich, want to try the pizza next. Laidback, relaxed atmosphere.

Great Hangout. I only lived in the Heights for 6 months but in that time I discovered Onion Creek and now visit regularly though I am no longer in the neighborhood. I have never had a problem with the service. The bar tenders and busy if not friendly and my food is always delivered hot and on time. You can't beat the place of a lazy Sunday brunch, casual dinner or for just hanging out with friends at happy hour.

All good but the service. I frequent O.C. atleast weekly. The music and ambience are great. The food is good. The Tuesday night Dj is great, and the specials are good. HOWEVER, I have seriously considered not going back due to the fact that on several occasions some of the bartenders are rude, insulting, and could care less about the customers or their jobs. On several occasions I have had horrible service by 2 of the bar workers. My friends have also had experiences with the same 2.

What's up with people behind the bar?. Great Food, go for the Grilled Chix Sandwich, Tuna Salad Sandwich or any of their amazing pizzas. The wines by the bottle are a good buy and they carry a fair amount of small brewery beers on tap.

The service is a different story, almost every person behind the bar is rude --- wish I could just say just "not friendly" but rude definitevely describes them. They are in serious need of a dose of "don't take yourself so seriously -- smile!." The guys that bring you the food are nice and so are the people cooking the steaks and taking the steak/boiled shrimp orders.

The atmosphere and crowd are great. Probably the coolest place in the heights to kick back and have some great conversations with friends or strangers.

Sit Back and Relax....... Very nice place. The food and atmosphere can't be beat. It's like a cafe brazil but with a newer modern/cottage vibe and full bar to it. Its larger - plenty of room with the bar, cozy sofa and outside patio areas. I still can't believe they had Ace Pear on tap. Perfect for happy hour on thursday bec. they usually have some music bit going on. Its in the heights with plenty of parking. The guys behind the bar are extremely friendly.
