What a great place!

The person below me must complain about everything. We had no problems whatsoever with our wedding (which occurred September 4th of last year). Shelly and her staff were very helpful and accommodating. She helped me with my jitters walking down the aisle and made sure everything went correctly. The catering service and DJ that were provided were perfect and professional. The food was excellent! The facilities are small, and classic and we loved how secluded the venue was down Ulrich. We had no complaints from our guests (we had a very small wedding) and it was timed well and very natural. We recommend Ella's to anyone and everyone wanting an all inclusive/affordable venue for their wedding. And to the person complaining again, maybe you should have your wedding at the Plaza Hotel along with all the complaining yuppies that can't find anything good enough for them. Stop complaining, and learn some patience. If you didn't have your wedding here, then you are not qualified to be reviewing the place!

terrible service!

I am planning a wedding for this year. Upon my on-line searches, I came across their and it looked like a place I might consider having my wedding at. I could never reach anyone on the phone, only a machine. I tried calling at different times within their open hours, for a whole 2 weeks for inquiry on pricing of packages. I also tried e-mailing them, to no avail. Finally, I was upset with the lack of concern from their staff, so I wrote the following e-mail message:

i don't think i will be requiring your services, seeing how no one ever answers the phone at your establishment or returns my e-mail inquiries. it's a sign to me of the lack of service i can expext, should i have chosen ellas garden for my wedding reception.

To which they replied:

well then that works out perfect since we do not do business with brides like you.

I'm not sure what they meant by "brides like me." I'm just like any other bride who wants to assure that her special day flows smoothly and perfectly. If that's too much to ask of Ellas Garden, then I strongly recommend they get out of the business they are in. And if you were thinking of using them, RUN!

My son's wedding

I was impressed with Ella's Garden from the minute we walked in the door. Everyone was very friendly and very knowledgable. After looking at several places, my inital impression was how much class Ella's had. Once we got started, the staff was never too busy to help us or answer our questions. The day of the wedding was perfect. The decorations, flowers, food, music, - everything - was perfect. At a time when courtesy and helpfulness is all too rare, Ella's staff was unbelievable - so friendly and helpful. The cost was affordable and very well worth it. We could not have asked for anything or any place better. My family and I would highly recommend Ella's Garden.
