A quiet, gothic-like lounge and a more spacious dance club double the pleasure.. The Scene Forget about the two names: This is all one bar. Sure, the hours, music and drink specials vary but the same clientele floats freely between buildings. Recline on Drink Bar's stodgy but surprisingly comfortable velour high-back chairs (purchased from a nearby Catholic church) and soak up some moody jazz and trip-hop. Or slip out the back door, through the rarely used patio, and into Bar Fly. The downstairs bar area only allows for small groups to gather, so grab a drink and head upstairs to the dance floor.
The Draw A fairly steady crowd fills the place on Thursdays and weekend nights, but Wednesdays are a total hit-or-miss. On slow nights, the bored bartenders watch their favorite DVDs. Local dance intelligentsia turn out in droves every other Saturday to witness 10 up-and-coming hip-hop, techno, dub and electronic DJs hone their skills in a battle-free environment.
