Avoid Tropioca. This place has gone so downhill since ownership has changed. The new owner is disrespectful and doesn't know anything about customer service. The hours are inconsistent: when their supposed to be open, they are closed...this has happened several times. The drinks, which used to be great, are watered down and lack flavor, which you wouldn't expect for paying a premium price. Avoid the Milam location. The downtown location is still being run by the old owner and everything is still good over there.

Unfriendly and slow. The girls behind the counter were quite unfriendly and service was extremely slow! My experience would have been much more pleasant if service was more efficient. I mean come on, it does not take 8 minutes to scoop ice cream!

Best little hidden coffee shop in Houston. Folks, this is a wonderful relaxing stress-free place to go! Not only that, they also serve bubble tea with the tastiest tapioca around. I've been to several other places that serve similar drinks and they can't beat Tropioca! I think it's because this place has quality drinks. I've been a regular for the longest time. I normally don't like going to one place for a long time but this place is just right. They even have internet access. Oh and clean bathrooms which is very rare amongst other places. But don't think this is just any coffee/drink shop, they even serve some food if you get that craving. My gal always wants to go there whenever she's in town. Go and see for yourself. It'll be one of the most kept secrets you can share with your friends.

Two Thumbs Up.... Wonderful place hidden in a shopping center near downtown. The people are friendly and service is prompt. They have wonderful smoothies, coffee, tea, and sandwiches. Prices are very reasonable ($3.50 - $4.00) for a drink--you get to choose your straw color. :) Nice decor/atmosphere, very clean---great place to study or play a boardgame with friends. I wish Tropioca wasn't so "hidden" as business would be even better downtown! Parking can be hectic during lunchtime. 10 punches on your "Bunny Butt Card" earns you a free drink! This is one of my favorite places.
