Offesive, Racist, Sexist, Uncomfortable, unprofessional, rude, and always gives 110% to make sure i get the best service possible.
Expensive, over priced service. Lens size reduced which reduced the size of the bifocals to barely usable. New frames not properly fitted. DO NOT RECOMMEND..........
THEY DESERVE CREDIT! – I got a phone call from this place which is where I took to my glasses to get fixed. One of the staff named Rob (the other one is named Harold) told me that I had dropped my warranty to my repair in the parking lot the previous day I was there. Said he will hold it for a while if I wanted to pick it up. And without the paper if something happened to the glasses then I wouldn't be covered. I said I got some shades y'all can fix. I'll be there today. The level of service is amazing. I'm not sure what everyone can pay. But I feel it was worth it! Don't sleep on this place. They are a business and they do their job. They are the BEST! The world is not perfect, and I feel they do their best to get you the service that is dang near perfect, if not spot on! I don't know what these past customers went through, but I know how they are now! Trying to post this review everywhere. So stop searching on yahoo and start only coming here, and then tell all ya friends. I do and am! By the way, LOVE MY SHADES NOW TOO! Nothing has broke again!!!!!
Terrible customer service – I found this place on google maps. I needed to get a pair of sunglasses fixed. The barrell to be exact. The owner informed me I would not be able to go anywhere else to get them fixed and looking perfect. So I agreed to allow him to, for a fee of $100. When I picked up the glasses they looked good as new. A week later of me not wearing them not being touched, I picked them up one to to wear and it broke in the exact same location. I misplaced my receipt but thought I would try and go by maybe they would remember me. They gave me a hard time for losing my receipt "store policy". The owner comes out and proceeds to tell me he has never worked on those glasses, he has been in the busines for 30 years and they have not been touched. He was calling me a liar. I felt like a fool in front of customers. He told me I was welcome to rummage through the receipts. Of course I find it and he says nothing. Needless to say they fixed them but I will never step foot inside of this racist facility.
Repair done at another location, 3 days later broke again – Had beloved glasses repaired at another Houston location, within 3 days broke again! Yes, there is a "guarantee", but I will not go back as I've lost confidence. The lens seemed "different" during the 3 days & when it broke again, I realized why.....the groove where the lens fit had materials from the laser process filling the groove, so now to find someone to clean out the groove & repair again. Just my experience......expensive experience.
Response to graustark07 – We are in the business of providing customer satisfaction. We have been operating as a company for over 20 years and rarely get complaints. So we take this complaint seriously. First off we do apologize for you being skipped in line but the other customers had been waiting for their glass since the day before and we felt that we would be able to complete their purchase and still be able to help you in a reasonable amount of time. As far as the racial comment is concerned, this was said by another customer of the store and in no way do we wish this to reflect our integrity as a business. Please let us know what we can do to provide you with a better service next time or how we can better our service in general. We strive to make the store feel like a welcome environment for any future customers.
Poor Customer Service – I recently had an accident with my very new glasses purchased at my nearest IVISION. I called IVISION for a recommendiation of repair facility and was given ALL AMERICAN EYEGLASS REPAIR. My first visit to get a quote went well. After making a decision to go with them I went in serviced by MR. CHRISTIAN VETTER. Chris as wearing house slippers and on an obvious personal phone call and went directly to the older couple that came in behind me into this location. After servicing them I questioned his customer service methods and was told I could leave if I didn't like his way of doing business. I did leave my classes for repair which were ready in approx. 1 hour. I went to pick-up my glasses and he half hardly apolized and wonder why I didn't use the RACE card in my compliant. He informed me that he had a recent incounter with an older oriental female. I paid, picked up my glasses and call the optometrist that recommended his business, DR. MaiAnh Tran...dig that hole deeper Christian...good luck young man.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE! – Took my frames in to get the hinge repaired, which they did by heating the frame to attach a new hinge. In doing so, they damaged the coating on my lense. Owner claims that he could not have possibly done this (even though they were perfectly fine before I brought them in) and told me to prove it in small claims court. Worst customer service that I can remember. I wish I had read the other reviews on this site first. The owner was loud and defensive just like the other reviewer mentioned and wouldn't own up to his mistakes. Would have rated a 0 if I had the option.
Response to complaint of broken lens – Although we strive to make all of our customers happy, sometime we cannot always satisfy everyones wishes. We have been in businees over 20 years and overall have a great customer satisfaction rating. As you see over the years we have received only a few complaints most have been resolved, some have not.
We had a gentleman come in to get his glasses repaired, we fixd them and sent him on his way happy. He did return with the same pair of glasses to be fixed under warranty. We had no problem with this but there was some evidence of them being put under much stress. We gladly accepted to fix these under warranty even though our warranty is only against bad workmanship, not against any sort of damage due to unnecessary stress. Once the glasses were repaired they needed major realignment. While adjusting the lens(at the repair area)cracked and broke. Since this is a drill mount frame, any stress on the lenses may cause a break in the lens. This is why we recommend a special lens material(polycarbonate).We then expressed that these should have been made polycarbonate and that the lens would not have broken if it in fact was polycarbonate. If it is poly then the labratory that made the lenses should replace under manufacter defect, as would be the case at All American Eyeglass Repair. Since we did not make the lenses we would have to charge at least our cost to replace the lenses. We did offer this to the patient, he was not satisfied with that solution. I then recommended that he return to his place of purchase where he may be able to get the lens replaced at no charge, as would be the case at All American, we do believe in patient satisfaction and stand behind all our products. The second pair was repaired and was not discussed at all at pick up. If the customer would like to respond back, I will do anything in my power to try and satisfy the situation. Don't Throw You Money Away Here! ‎ – I was recommended here by my optometrist, took my glasses in and for 102 dollars the bridge was replaced. Two days later while cleaning my lenses the new bridge snapped off. I took the glasses back (as they are warranted) along with another pair to be fixed. Since they require pre-payment I gave them both pairs of glasses and 70 bucks. When I returned the next day I was greeted by a defensive owner who started questioning where I got the lenses from for the second pair of glasses (expensive frames). He was questioning why the lenses in the second pair were plastic and not polycarbonate, the reason being that when he snapped the lens into two pieces. He went on to accuse me of excessive wear and tear on the glasses reminding me that this was a repair facility and they could only do so much. He then showed me the original pair that now have a hairline fracture on the lens that was not there before again accusing me of this damage and being that I pre-paid he gets to keep his 170 bucks while I get two pairs of glasses that his facility damaged worse than when I walked in. While I understand that things happen the total lack of customer service, especially being privately owned, and admitting their mistake is unacceptable. If I would have walked in and the guy had owned up to snapping the lens in half on one pair and damaging the lens on the second, APOLOGIZED offered a refund I would have been ok but their total lack of professionalism, accountability and customer service makes this a definite buyer beware business. I also made a special trip with my two sons in the car back to my optometrist, showed them the two damaged lenses and after inspection was told they would NOT be recommending any more of their patients to All American Eyeglass Repair
