I just called to place an order. A man by the name of JUAN answered, in Spanish i believe, and was rude, mumbled, would not verify I was actually speaking to someone at the restaurant, and hung up on me. I called back but after 4 rings someone disconnected the call without answering. I called again from my cell. A lady finally answered, (spoke clear English) and I asked for manager's name. She said Juan, one moment please. She came back to the phone shortly and in broken English said, "Everyone busy. I take your order, no??". I asked for an owner or someone else I could speak with. "Nooo, uh, I take your order??" What? What alternate reality are they in?? I live one mile from the restaurant ant eat/call in orders frequently and have never been treated this way before. It only takes once for me. I won't be back. Very unprofessional.
Service was horrible and the manager was worse...!...this was my 4th and last time coming to this place...the seating was quick but that was it!...we waited for a server for about 10 minutes just to place our order for the drinks and appetizers (that never arrived)...we waited again about 20 minutes for the waiter just to place the order for the food...and after 30minutes we decided to get up and leave when the waiter comes out with the food...by that time the food was cold and the fries for the kids were completely raw...the waiter never came around with the check and had to chase us as we were walking out...finally had us in the middle of the restaurant trying to sign that darn receipt and left us standing there and never collected the signed receipt...there was no reason to have to wait that long when the place was half empty...I decided to voice my complaints to the manager (Jason) in the nicest way possible and he didnt even have the decency to apologize...I do not recommend this place at all..!
Entertainers Beware!!! Jason is a do-shhh. The manager "Jason" hired in a local karaoke company for Friday nights. He refused to sign a contract, but the unsuspecting company agreed to the weekly show anyway. After the secont show, the manager told the karaoke host that he had a band previously booked for the following friday, but that after that karaoke would resume as normal. So the Friday after the band played, the Karaoke Host made his way from Cypress all the way to Pearland and arrived just to find a band playing again. "Jason" didn't take five minutes out of his time to let the company know. The karaoke host spent his time, gas as well as toll fees to drive there. Not to mention all the singers that were not given any warning about the cancelled show date. The company dropped the show after this incident. Be wary of this establishment as long as "Jason" is the GM. He is not great at multi-tasking. Please get a contract.. If he refuses, explain to him about this incident.
Never a wait. My husband and I love this place. The food is great and the place is huge. We have never had to wait for a table, even when the parking lot seems packed. The staff is friendly and the place is clean.
Pearland Best Mexican Restaurant!!!!!!!.
Try the fish tacos, the best!! Huge portions and a bit upscale decor for Pearland, TX. But causal dress is fine.
Great red and green dipping salsa's with thin chips.
Also try the fajitas, you won't be disappointed.
bad food. this place was nasty the last time I ate there more than a year ago. Cheese enchiladas were greasy and cheese was not melted. Not impressed and have not been back. There are much better Mexican restaurants in Pearland.
Good Food. It's my second favorite in Pearland, so far. It has a great atmosphere, though. They even have a band that plays occassionally. Free ice cream/popsicles on your way out :)
Overrated. They have only one combination plate on the entire menu; no combination plates that include enchiladas with a taco, chili con queso, a chalupa or a tamale. The refried beans are served in a tiny little tortilla cup with your order, giving you only an ounce or two of beans with your plate. Las Rosas also commits the cardinal sin in my book as far as Mexican restaurants are concerned; they serve their salsa, warm. Yuck. Salsa should be made with fresh tomatoes and served chilled, with warm chips; not the other way around. Eh, I've had much better Mexican food elsewhere. I am being very generous in giving them three stars.
Editorial Review. Local fans of Tex-Mex dinners, margaritas, beers and Tejano culture keep this Mexican restaurant and bar busy.
