Data Recovery Experts!!!
by MSmith1866
The hard drive on my MacBook crashed and in the process erased all of my data. The Apple store told me that Apple would cover the replacement drive, but could not be held responsible for the any data that was lost (nor the recovery of said data, if possible). They told me that my data would have to be recovered by a third party, and the process could cost between $200 and $2,000.
Utterly disappointed, I tried the Computer Hospital, who I had previously used to fix email issues I was having. I was immediately put at ease by the friendly guys at the counter. They seemed fairly confident that the data could be recovered. This was a welcome relief to me.
Happy ending: My data was completely restored, and they even ordered the new hard drive and installed it for me. I would definitely recommend these guys!
Excellent Data Recovery! Definitely use them again!

I recently made the switch to a Mac, and thought I was the coolest until I accidentally wiped my entire hard drive. Very, very stupid!
I had heard about the Computer Hospital through a friend of mine so I called them up and was delighted when they said to just bring it right in to their shop. Within minutes of arriving, they were working on it.
Within 24 hours, they had recovered everything. They were nice, they were fast, and they knew what they were doing.
That was my first experience with a computer repair shop, but it's really great to know that there are smart guys out there to help me out when I screw things up.
I'm so happy to have ALL of my data back! Thanks just doesn't seem enough!
Beware of their definition of "recovered" data

After reading how the computer hospital only charges you if you get your data back (as per their website) I thought it was a great option.
The first sign I missed was when their initial estimate was doubled. They said my data was especially difficult to recover and I believed them, now I'm thinking they might have been testing how badly I want it.
Anyway, I agreed to pay the amount (which was $400 which is a lot by my standards). I went to pick up my data it wasn't there, they took another week, called me to pick up it up, I went again, no luck. Long stroy short, it took about 4 visits before they were able to locate my data and give it to me, but that was not the end of my troubles.
They tested one file for me, which worked (I have about 1TB of data, so of course I could not test every file there, so I trusted their "random sample"). I went home and tried to actually use the data and it turns out that only about 25% of my data was there, the rest of the files were all "corrupt" and would not open.
When I called them to complain that I would never have paid that much money if I knew that they only recovered 25% or that how much of the "recovered" data actually works was a risk I had to take myself, again, I would have not paid the money, I was told that their std for recovery is when the file "shows an icon, ie is recognized by the program it was created in" the fact that 75% of the files were empty or corrupt was not their problem and that I should have "tested" the 1TB of data before leaving if I had a concern.
Shame on them - as much of a scam as any other data recovery service!
Professional service and great rates

was suffering a very confusing BSOD. Also issues with the hard drive. I was happy with their service cause the 1st time I brought it in and they didn't charge me when they couldn't reproduce the issue. I later had the issue and brought it in and they saw it. So it seemed to be a bad hard drive. Price was fair and came with a 1 year warranty. I easily could of solved it myself by putting in the drive but I had a feeling the issue was more than the drive. Well that drive failed and they did replace it as promised. A manufacturer defect and I am well aware that it happens. I then got the BSOD after the 3rd drive again and it was the same error code. They tried multiple things and in my opinion the proper order and didn't charge me for the time they put into it. Now today ive been enjoying my computer for the whole day with no issues. thanks to Corey and the staff at the computer hospital. I realized in the beginning this wouldn't be an easy BSOD to fix from searching it. But they did fix it and awesome job
