“But overall, great place for eating sandwiches and vietnamese dishes.”
“The bbq pork sandwiches are awesome and so cheap!”
Vietnamese Sandwiches. What can I say. Vietnamese sandwiches at great price. I believe it's one of the most decent looking sandwiches shop in the area. They also serve broken rice dishes and noodles.
Good sandwiches and rice platters!.
Randomly stopped by for lunch. Got there at 11am and it wasn't too busy. Ordered a BBQ Pork Sandwich and a BBQ Pork Rice Platter.
I'd never had a Vietnamese sandwich before...but it was good! The bread was quite large (I'm not a huge "bread" person), but it was delicious. The first few bites were like, "Okay, this is interesting." But by the end of my sandwich, I realized, "This is good! I'm coming back!"
The rice platter was very simple, but good.
By the time we left, the line was out the door, and it was buzzing with people. Get there early b/f the lunch crowd (or get there late...after everyone leaves).
great vietnamese sandwiches. The bbq pork sandwiches are awesome and so cheap! The place can really get packed at lunch time on weekdays. Also they only take cash so come prepared. The cashier is sometimes difficult to communicate with in English. However none of those minor cons has kept me from returning regularly for their sandwiches. I've tried the same sandwich at several other places in Bellaire, but Givral's is the best hands down!
best sandwich shop. I love the shredded chicken sandwich over here. They also have very good summer rolls (bo bia). During the week days, they also have desserts such as che`, flan and so on. Besides the sandwiches, soups and rice over there are very good, too. Service are getting faster and faster although at night it get slowlier a little bit. But overall, great place for eating sandwiches and vietnamese dishes.
Best $2.50 ever spent!. $2.50 might be on the pricey end of Vietnamese sandwiches, but that extra $.50 is well worth the taste. If you're extra hungry double the meat for $.50 more. My favorite is the bbq charboiled pork sandwiches, one of their specialties. I'm also a fan of the egg rolls. Sandwich + egg roll is best lunch for under $4!
great mom n pop shop. i love the sandwiches here. the banh mi thit nuong is my favorite. all the prices are cheap and there's little snacks and desserts as well. the family there is sweet, very nice and polite. cafe sua da is STRONG, and so, so good.
Cheap and delicious. Vietnamese sandwiches are filled with cucumber slices, carrots, buttery mayo, spiced meats, all in a toasted French baguette. I usually go for the barbeque pork or the special. The best thing about them though, is their price! How can you beat $2.25 for a fresh and tasty lunch? This place also offers other Vietnamese cuisine such as pho and other noodle dishes.
