“Nice variety of products but no pressure.”
“For a place that doesn't specialize in nails, this is a good place for a manicure or pedicure.”
“The salon staff is excellent, too!”
“The prices are great and the facility is gorgeous.”
Don't be mislead....
I am the co-Owner of The Spa at Cinco Ranch and don't normally respond to these reviews but the one posted on 3/27/2011 by "administrator75" deserves comment. Why all the hate? We never ask anybody to pay up front as most would object. Only the Astros and Jack in the Box do that.
As for our facility, it may be a brick building but I will place it up against anything in west Houston. Client feedback and our research support that. Small bathroom? We have two locker rooms on the Spa side, each with its own steam room, changing area, showers, etc. Our Relaxation Room does have water, tea service, music, a fireplace and opens onto a courtyard area.
We do not rush clients through nor do we attempt to "upsell" them on added services. I run the place so I know what is booked and what is paid for. Our people are just not that way. Our repeat business reflects that. My phone is the one that rings when we do have a complaint (not often I would add) and we go out of our way to rectify the matter so as to build repeat business over the long term. The insinuations to the contrary in the review I mentioned are an insult to our employees and just flat out incorrect. Those comments are different from the smiles I see from the hundreds of people who visit us every week, return often and purchase our Gift Certifcates every year for friends, co-workers and loved ones.
After 9 years, we remain one of the Top 10 busiest Spas/Salons in the Greater Houston area and there is a reason for that. Actually a lot of reasons. We may not be perfect but we're trying and one spiteful review will not convince me otherwise!!! We like constuctive feedback, that helps, but not anonymous kicks in the stomach....

Nothing special about this place. I will never go here again. If you have ever been to a spa before this place is sad and if you have not do not waste your money for this to be your first experience, it does not do spa's any justice. to start you drive up to a brick building with nothing relaxing about it. You walk in and they do not take money at the door which I found kind of funny because anyone could get services then just walk out. Thru the process I found out why. (They try to sell you things the whole time.) then you go into a small bathroom where you change and they have the bare necessities. (For the price you pay they should have everything to make you feel wonderful when you leave.) You going into a relaxation room that is more like a living room with some magazines (nothing relaxing about it unless you just want to sit in a room no incense or relaxing music) Massage was ok. After that went to get a spa and medicure, it was ridicuolous I watched them sale the same things to everyone who came in and just would not stop when you would tell them no, they would tell everyone how horrible there nails were and how they could fix them. Nothing relaxing about that. Then you leave. When leaving you pay at the front desk. Remeber what I said at the beginning about paying afterwards well that is so they can ring up all those little extra things that should have been included. There is nothing about this places that says spa except that they do massages. Oh and they charged for aromatherapy not sure when I got to experience that, but I sure had to pay for it. No explains anything to you they just try to get you thru your services and out of the building.
Spa is pricy but hair salon is great. I thought the spa and the massage was a little over priced but the hair salon was great. Very friendly and she did a great job. I will go back for hair cut again.
Beware: Ripped Off at Cinco Ranch.
I took my wife for a couples anniversary spa treatment at the Spa at Cinco Ranch on July 24. During the treatment my locker was broken into and I was robbed of $285 from my wallet. The Sheriff's Department is looking into the 4 people present that had the universal code for the locker room.
The owner was aloof about it and took him more than an hour before he arrived to check it out. You would think through it all that he would have comp'd the treatment. Whie the service was good as well as the amendities... it just goes to show that you never can tell about a place.
I reported the review to SPAFINDER who we used to find the location and they failed to publish the critique
Amazing spa, best in Houston. I've been a faithful customer day one. Best all around spa in the Houston area.
worst salon ever.
I have 2 people to warn you about!!!
1st there is Amanda. oh my gosh! where to begin... she shouldnt be allowed to have scissors... She will ruin your hair!!! she gave me PIXIE BANGS!!!
2 nd is Lee. She just AWFUL!!!!! She cant do anything right!!! its taken me a year to repair her work!!1
NOT GOOD!. I will not be back to this Spa. I was treated so rudely by the staff and services were not impressive either. My pedicure was rushed and they lady talked about her personal problems the whole time. Not what a spa should be like! I came there to relax. The locker room was not kept up. There were towels and water puddles all over the place. The toilet was backed up that I used. I told the front when I left, but they acted like they didn't care.
Best Spa in the Greater Houston Area. This spa is absolutely wonderful. I was treated like a princess as soon as I walked in the door. The spa was very clean. They served a wonderful water beverage with fruits that was out of this world! I cant wait to go back!
A Slice of Heaven in Katy. Everyone from the front desk to the owners are a delight. The top level of professionalism is second to none. I have used all their services and have never had a complaint. I drive 30+ miles once a month for my spa day. In my opinion, there is nothing else in Houston to compare with the Spa at Cinco Rach. Keep up the good work!!!!
Terrible!! Overpriced for the quality of what you get..
I took my friend here for her birthday. Our services ran late the whole time we were there. We had a massage, a pedicure, manicure, and shampoo / dry. We finished an hour late and had to cancel our dinner. The massage was O.K. , but the other things were horrible. My hair was half done looking. My nails were sloppy-polish was out of lines. An older blonde lady at the front desk was rude to me when I paid for my friend and me. She also could not answer some of my questions about services they offered. She seemed out of it or like she didn't know what she was doing. It was a little funny. Luckily she left the desk and a nice girl helped me.
I wanted to speak to an owner about my experience, but he wouldn't come up to the reception desk. I was told he was there though. I guess he didn't care. Bad business practices!
