Marlene is the best. The best stylist at One Hair Place is without a doubt Marlene Fisher. She's been my stylist for a couple of years now and I am so happy I decided to make a change when I did. Everyone always compliments me on how great my hair looks, whether it be the color or the cut. I recently grew my hair out from a shorter cut and never experienced any akward stages because of the way she cut it as it grew out. I also recently made the switch from highlights to color and I absolutely love it. It has been about 4 weeks and it still looks vibrant and shiny with no grey coming through. She's awesome!!!

An Insider's Point of View. Jenny bought this salon just a few months ago and i im not sure i have ever seen something go down hill so fast! I was hired on as a stylist a couple of months ago with the understanding that myself and a couple of the other staff there were to take all call ins and walk ins because Jenny was not taking any new clients. Also i signed a contract stateing that i was to be an independant contractor...meaning i would set my own prices and hours, giving the salon 50% of what i brought in and handling my own taxes. However i was givin what i was under the impression of as a guidline of hours to work and prices to charge just so that the salon would be fully staffed at all times. Fair enough right? I was soon to find out that all of that was nothing more than a bunch of BS! Jenny soon started taking our walkins, callins, and out right taking clients from all of the staff. I once got in trouble for giving a walkin my card, jenny said i should have givin her a blank card because that wasnt being "fair" to the other staff. Not two days later i saw her give a walkin her card, when i asked her about it she got very upset and so flustered she couldnt even give me a straight explination. This occured many times, she will look you straight in the eye and tell you a bold faced lie. Also, she dicusses her issues about the staff, bills, insurance and other things pertaining to the salon with her clients! SOOO TACKY! Many times she had me and other staff members call her clients and make up stories to tell them about why she was running late. She is always running late! I could go on and on, but to make a very long story short i was let go for leaving and hour and a 1/2 early one day, even after i told her i was going to go ahead and go. The salon was slow and i wasnt doing anything but taking her calls and doing her books, which i did not get paid to do what so ever! Basically she didnt like the fact that i was on to her, and had the guts to call her out on her crimes. I know i sound bitter and i would be lieing if i said im not mad about this whole situation, but i just hate to see people wasting their money with her after ive seen first hand the way she opperates. This woman is the cheapest, greediest, low class excuse for a human being i have ever come face to face with. If you are going to the One Hair Place Salon, i highly recommend you use Kara, Salina or Marleen. These women are increadible stylist and over all good, honest people. They will give you what you pay for at a fair price and nothing less! Peter is ok, but he is Jenny's puppet and has absoluteley no back bone to speak of. Good luck to all of you that dare to face the wrath of Jenny!

P.S....if you went to the open house last friday night at the One hair place Salon and recieved a gift basket...the products are expired! Just another example of how cheap jenny really is. She pulled all of that product out of the back where it was sitting in a waste bend. The previous owners had pulled it from the retail shelves to be thrown away!

Great Cuts, Styles, Service. Jenny has provided great hair cuts, styling, and color to me for several years. My sons are even choosier than I am about their stylist, and neither will have their hair cut anywhere except One Hair Place.

RE: Why did Rick leave ???. I can't believe Rick left One Hair Place, I went to the other guy there named "PETER" man he is chopped liver compared to Rick, Peter really messed up my hair last week, I will never go back there, and I will tell all my friends in Friendswood, to avoid that place like the pleague. Ever since Jenny bought that salon it has gone down.. I wish them luck, cause there going to need it.... RICK!!!! WHERE ARE YOU??

High End Salon with Family Friendly Atmosphere. I drive from League City to go to One Hair Place and have made the drive for the last five years. I have ridiculously thick, course, curly hair. Prior to seeing Jenny at One Hair Place I had gone to other salons throughout the Houston metro area and spent thousands of dollars on hair straightening service, none of which really ever took. Then I met Jenny at One Hair Place, my difficult hair is now perfectly straight and smooth and remains so for about six months. In addition, the hair color treatment is exceptional. On top of all of this, the prices are more than reasonable. I also recommend Peter and his "spa" like shampooing and conditioning. My husband and son also go to One Hair Place along with countless friends and acquaintances we have referred.

HORRIBLE PLACE!!!!. This place is horrible! I went to get a hair cut by Peter & he ruined my hair. I have naturally curly hair & he razored the whole back of my hair off. I went in with a picture for him to follow & asked him to cut my hair. He totally went against my wants & cut my hair the way he wanted. I had informed him that I had planned to straighten my hair & wanted that specific cut. So, he needed to thin my hair because it is really thick & ended up razoring off the whole back of my hair. My hair now looks like a longer version of a Rhianna hair cut! I had to go to another place to TRY to even out the uneven layers he created. The lady couldn't even flat iron my hair because the layors were so uneven!!! I am terrified and will never go back there again. I recommend to never use this place ever, and if you do go use somebody else besides Peter!!!!
