In Short – Diners at this Galleria-area favorite are encouraged to suspend reality and enter a Mediterranean wonderland of food, music, art and friendship. Meals are started with fresh-baked bread and olive oil and are often finished with homemade baklava. In between, diners feast on such delicacies as rack of lamb, osso bucco, calamari, artichokes, scallops, grilled shrimp and even octopus. Diners can order a Greek or seafood combination platter for a sampling of the menu's tastiest offerings.
Great place for dining

From the moment you walk in, the experience begins from the hostess to the waiters.
The service was on point, the atmosphere and the food was wonderful! This is a fun place to go on a Saturday night! They have live music that gets many up to dance and that just adds to the overall fun vibe of this place!
All in all I put my Greek stamp of approval on Alexander the Great. It absolutely satisfies my craving for Greek food and represents Greek dining well.
I would recommend this restaurant to any of my friends and family. My friends and I had a great time and will definitely be back!
- Pros: Horiatiki salad
- Cons: I can't think of any
Good food and good service

My daughter, 16 minth old grandson and I went for a late lunch today, Sun. Eating out with the toddler has become tough, but everyone was very accepting of his exploring and less than perfect behavior. He did like the food, as did his mother and I. The salad was delicious. as was the dip for the bread. I had the lemon chicken, and could have eaten a whole serving of just the pasta.
The chicken was very good, but I adored the pasta.
My daughter had the Gyro plate and it was excellent. The lemony potatoes were the icing on the cake, along with the $1 off all drinks from 3-7, even on Sun.
Cole even had seconds on the veggies. The portions are generous. We could easily have all shared the Gyro platter.
We will be back to try some of the other dishes and desserts, which looked killer::-)
- Pros: Everything was good
- Cons: none
Are you kidding me?

I frequently visit Alexander the Great and find the previous comments hard to believe. They were posted some time ago so I hope that if your in the mood for Greek food you look past those silly rants. My experience has always been great. The food is always fresh and delicious. I especially love the Bronzini and the lamb but there has not been a menu item ordered that I haven't enjoyed. The service has always been prompt and courteous. Servers are very friendly and very helpful with the menu. Fridays and Saturday nights are always fun with the music and belly dancing. I was surprised with a birthday party there and we had a great time. I have noticed that if you don't have a reservation you may have to wait a few minutes for a table but that alone lends to the popularity of the place. In a city full of chain restaurants it's nice to have an individual family owned establishment that you can get fine meal and have a great time.
