“If you are looking for great customer service or any customer service for that matter, this isn't the place to go.”
“staff not friendly unless its obvious what the contents of your pocketbook are.”
Very poor customer service. I went into Anthropologie a couple of days ago, I love the clothes and the vibe of the store. I was there for quite a while. There were several employees working on straightening and folding, preparing to close the store, but not one person spoke to me. Not one. I bought two tops. I work in the retail industry and I hope my store at the very minimum greets every customer. While checking out, I explained to the woman ringing me up that I wasn't spoken to or offered any help. Her response, "I'll tell a manager." Maybe she did and maybe she didn't. I am sure I will shop there again, but it may just be online. If you are looking for great customer service or any customer service for that matter, this isn't the place to go.
An eclectic variety of bohemian-chic clothing and home furnishings..
In Short
Tailored but never trendy, this affordable chain has been keeping the closets of career gals and housewives stocked with good-quality, basic wardrobe-builders, shoes and accessories since 1954. Diligent shoppers can unearth some seasonal options with more of an edge too: suede wrap skirts, retro-print separates or clingy little black dresses. Frequent sales make these stores prime ops for college grads on the prowl for interview suits, weddings and first-job career-wear.
overpriced Urban Outfitters. Anthropologie has some cute clothing and accessories but their stuff is way overpriced for stuff as simple as a cotton shirt. I would recommend saving the money for somthing designer if you are going to pay that price.
unique store. most items are gorgeous and trendy, however clothing sizes are all over the place and items dont seem to fit properly for the $$ they charge. staff not friendly unless its obvious what the contents of your pocketbook are. I avoid going here since the last time I was there in search of an item and was ignored for the 20 minutes I shopped.
Looking for the best queality?.
Then try Anthropology. I love how everythign is unique
amd high quality. There is no place like it!
Soho Chic.
Twenty-something yuppie Manhattanites on hiatus at Martha's Vineyard or South Hampton is what comes to mind inside Anthropologie. This trendy yet tastefull, preppy yet retro haven can be described as a more subtle, refined Urban Outfitters. The pseudo-antiquey furniture has been used on the set of Friend's since its 1994 debut.
If you like Monica's purple pad, check this store out.
