Frozen vegetables not good.. JCI has a nice atmosphere. It's calming and relaxing. It's set up like a 1950's or 1960's diner. Most of the customers are older people along with families and their young children. The cashiers are friendly and food arrives quickly. They serve hot dogs and hamburgers mostly. The food is usually very good. This time I ordered a hot dog I had never tried; The Godfather.

The Godfather has red and green peppers and onions. The hot dog meat was different from the regular hot dog. This was slightly sweet and very delicious. The vegetables on top of the hot dog however were clearly frozen. As I ate the vegetables, they were like a pile of soft, flavorless mush. The french fries as usual were good but there aren't that many of them.

It would be nice if the vegetables were not frozen. I wouldn't mind waiting a bit longer for vegetables that taste like something and didn't have the texture of a used kleenex. Still the Godfather was very good minus the vegetables.

Grilled franks are the top dogs at this casual spot for a quick lunch or affordable dinner.. In Short
Founded in 1923, this locally owned and operated fast-food chain serves up hot dogs and other quick-serve favorites. Customers can choose to drive through, take out or dine in. The restaurant is best known for its Coney Island hot dog: a grilled all-beef wiener, chili, mustard, onions on a fresh-baked bun. Other favorites include chili pie with Fritos, cheeseburgers, cheese fries, Italian sausage sandwiches and tater tots. For dessert, choose from apple pie, brownies, milk shakes and cheesecakes.
