In Short – Pam Robinson, the queen of Washington Avenue, bought Mary Jane's, kept the name for a while and then decided to change it to Fat Cat's (a sly jab at Enron executives). To her credit, she chose to preserve the memory of Mary Jane's by giving the club only a mild makeover. The rainbow color scheme has been replaced by wood paneling, the bar finished with a fine lacquer and a new sound board and P.A. have enhanced the sound quality immeasurably.
