I was refereed here by a friend to get my make up for a special event. I heard they are very well known for their Japanese Straightening, but haven't tried that here yet. The staff was very enthusiastic and friendly. The atmosphere was fun, and inviting. I loved how my makeup looked. I looked young and fresh, not overly done and made up. They were very professional and articulate.

Pedro and the Japanese hair straightening have made my life so much easier! I also have long hair for the first time in many years, because for the first time, my hair is manageable. And it looks GORGEOUS! If you are considering having your hair straightened, you absolutely MUST have the Japanese hair straightening done at Ovations Hair Studio and Spa. I've had it done 4 times, and each time, I've been extremely happy with it. It lasts about a year, which is well worth the money. My time is precious, and this product has saved me so much time and effort. Before I did this, I was not able to air-dry my hair. Nor was I able to go out in the rain or humidity without having "Monica" hair (very frizzy, for those of you not familar with the Friends episode). Now I can do both and still look great. Imagine letting your hair air dry and end up perfectly straight! I can also travel without having to pack a flat iron. Don't worry about your hair being damaged or over-processed. My hair is shiny, soft, and is very healthy. Every where I go, people tell me how beautiful my hair is and how healthy it appears. And yes, Pedro colors my hair too. It's no problem to do them both - just not during the same visit. Do NOT be fooled by less expensive 'knock-offs". In 2002, I let a woman talk me into doing the Chi hair straightening. She claimed it was exactly like the Japanese product. Well, Chi may have nice flat irons, but their hair straightener stinks. It damaged my hair - we're talking brillo pad hair - and it only lasted about a month. And I have friends who recently experienced the same thing with other straighteners. So while many claim that you don't have to pay as much for the process, you should know that ONLY the real Japanese process works. Stylists must be specially trained to do this process, and Pedro is. I wouldn't trust my hair to anyone else. You get what you pay for. And in this case, it's truly a worth it!
