Pay to Eat Bugs. I went in to eat here on a Friday. 7/7/11. THERE WAS A BUG IN MY FOOD. Big bug too. The manager came to my table, apologized for the bug. And then STILL CHARGED ME FOR THE DINNER. This is madness. I've never been to a restaurant that didn't comp the meal after something like that. While most PF Chang's are great. This one is awful. Avoid it like the plague. Otherwise you'll be chomping bugs too... and then paying them for the pleasure!
Great place!. Love this place. We just wish everyone else didn't so we could get a table easier on the weekends.
Quality Chinese Food. i love this place been there more than 5 times, their food is awesome and atmosphere. when it comes to chinese food i recommend PF CHANG'S.
This gussied-up chain bustles with singles and families craving Chinese food favorites..
In Short
Towering twin stallions and carved wood screens add majesty and mystery to this stylish restaurant, where well-dressed patrons sip martinis at the bar and families with children feast around large tables or in spacious booths. The menu gives Chinese classics a contemporary tweak; dishes are artfully presented, with many sauces made tableside by servers. Signature plates include diced chicken wrapped in cool lettuce leaves, orange-peel beef with chili peppers, and wok-fried scallops with lemon sauce.
Good Food!. I've been there about 5 times and the food has always been very good. If your unsure about what to get, then try "chang's spicy chicken", similar to general tso chicken, but just spicer. The waitstaff is another story. Sometimes, there good, and other times your sitting there for at least 15-20 mins before someone takes your drink order. The bar is the same thing. Other than that, I would go there for a night out. It does get pretty busy there, no matter what night you go, so make reservations!
Eh, I've been to better.. My family went to this restaurant because we received a free voucher from Royal Oaks. I can't say I really enjoyed the food much, being of Chinese descent. The food was definitely Americanized versions of Chinese food, and even at that, it was not that great. The service was good however and the restaurant had a nice ambience to it. However, if you want real Chinese food, just head down 10 minutes into Chinatown and find it there for 10x cheaper.
Did not measure up to the hype. I had dinner with a group on a Saturday night. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. I was not impressed with the wait staff. My moo shoo pork was not served appropriately. The food was okay. There are too many authentic chinese restaurants in this city with much better prices. I will not choose this restaurant again.
disaster.
i came at 9.30 at this restaurant. The waiters didn't want to take care of us because it was late (dont take table till 11 if 9.30 is late), so we waited 25 minutes before finaly have somebody to take care of us. When the main course came so the check, because it was time for the waiter's cash out. I send it back so the manager came and ask me to pay. No desert because obviously it was time to go.
We wanted a coffee, so they send us to the bar. We ask 4 coffees to the bartender, he said it was close. After a talk with the manager the bar reopen for 4 coffees. Of course the check came almost faster than the coffee. Too bad i always take an after diner drink.
So next time i will go to a restaurant where they respect the costumers.
Westchase Jewel. Having this restaurant out in the west end of town has been a god-send. The food is consistently terrific, and the wine-list by the glass is extremely impressive. I would walk across hot coals for the shrimp dumplings (pan-fried of course), mongolian beef and orange chicken. Fantastic. My wife and I enjoy getting there early, the earlier the better, to sit at the bar and people watch on a Friday evening. Although the location inside the Loop is more trendy, the westside location has it's highlights. If you're late, you wait. But it's worth it. Get to the bar, have a glass of wine, and enjoy yourself.
The best around!. P. F. Changs is simply the best Chinese food money can by. Just realize that they are always very busy and either call ahead or get reservations. If you are having a good sized group then try to reserve the captain's table and ask for their "Limosine" service.
