Disappointed!. The food was very unimpressive. The presentation was ok, but the taste .....not any better than frozen food. I had the burrito and ....it was bland. It is a shame the food isn't better, because the place is cute and has a lot going for it. The staff was ok, ....they did the job, but ....there was no warmth to the service. I can't recommend this place.

Casual Wedding Rehearsal Dinner: Success!. Germophobes beware: there’s a sandy playground out front! The kids (and adults) had a lot of fun hanging out there. And there are bathrooms with soap, so you can wash your kids’ hands when they're ready to eat.

We loved our meal: we made reservations for a rehearsal dinner for 30 people. The restaurant offered us a cheaper option for our group, their fixed price fajita menu, but we opted to let people order off the menu. This must have been a hassle for our servers and the kitchen, but they were extremely accommodating and even managed to bring all the food out at the same time. Really exceeded our expectations. The servers were TOP NOTCH and the food excellent. Tortillas bigger than my head! If we lived in the area, we’d be regulars.

Not Bad At All. I have been here a few times during the busy hours of a Friday or Saturday night. I have only tried their Fajitas which are EXCELLENT! The meat is well seasoned/good quality and the tortillas are fresh light and buttery tasting. They give you plenty of sides too like cheese, sour cream and guacamole. I did get into a scuffle once with the waiter over tomatillo sauce. LOL. I guess in a meeting with their manager, they were told to stop giving it out to customers. I took issue with that. LOL. I wanted it anyway being a paying customer and all. Other than that I have always received great service. I did get that tomatillo sauce too bye the way.

A Favorite Family Place. This is the best place around to take our kids, enjoy a beautiful day, and relax. We love coming here. Our favorite place is on the deck where we can watch the kids and be waited on by Ramiro. I hope that eventually this location covers the sand area like other Lupe Tortilla restaurants. I'd also like to see more a la cart choices and lunch specials. The Taco Al Carbon is great, the taco salads are also really good.

Great for the kids!. They have a sandbox on the open patio so you can put your kids in there and have mexican food while they entertain themselves in the sandbox. But on Friday and Saturday evenings sandbox get a little crowded and outside table choice is limited and some parents have to wait. As of food, regular mexican fajita/margarita deal, tasty but there are better places around with better mexican food but... no sandbox!!! :)

Great place for kids. Good margarita and good food. The tortilla chips were a little bland, but the guacamole and salsa were great and chicken flautas were fantastic. My husband loved his steak fajitas. I do have to knock my stars down because we waited for food. We were seated pretty quickly for a Sat. night, but we were served our food after another couple who was seated after us. Kids liked their quesadillas - and we all had plenty of food to bring home for leftovers. We really liked the sand box for the kids to play....we had baths on the agenda anyway. It would be a fun place to be on a sunny Saturday afternoon, margarita in hand.

The Fajitas are usually Great. The Fajitas are usually Great, but not always. The quality of the food has been a bit inconsistent , although it usually is very good. I guess the same can be said about the service, most of the time it is great.

The sizzling fajitas, the over-sized tortillas, and the borracho-beans are always our favorites, and keep us coming back for more. On Friday nights and Sunday afternoons the lines can be annoyingly long, but at other times the Fajitas are worth a visit.

Lupe Tortilla's, Just Horrible!. We do NOT recommend Lupe Tortilla's, 891 W. Bay Area Blvd., Webster, TX, 77598. My family and I visited Sunday, 2/10/2008, for lunch. The restaurant was not busy. We were seated, ordered our food, and then waited, waited and waited some more. During the wait, our drinks were never refilled and we were not even offered a refill of chips and dip. Service, our waiter, or just an order update was nonexistant. After nearly 50 minutes, the food was quickly and literally dropped at our table by the restaurant manager (not our waiter). The $7.00 "chicken" quesadillas arrived MINUS the chicken, were ice cold, and slapped all alone onto a cold plate. The $15.00 fajitas had a couple of pieces of meat, were cold and dried (fajitas should come sizziling on a skillet or at least hot, right?). We were left to eat our meals without plates and had to flag someone down to get us some. Our waiter (where was he all this time?) came by with dripping wet, DIRTY plates, and we again had to wait because we asked for dry, clean ones. How dare we? We mentioned the quesadilla error to the waiter and he said a corrected order would be "right out". Yeah, right. He was about to lift the cold quesadilla off the table until I insisted he at least leave that because my kids were really hungry at this point and wanted to eat something. Why we didn't just get up and leave, I'll never know. I guess we just figured things would get better, but they didn't. We begrudgingly ate our food then waited for the check. We didn't let the waiter leave before paying fearing how long it might be before we saw him again. BOTTOM LINE: service was just horrible and the food was even worse. It was the worst experience we have ever had at any restaurant. The prices are also WAY TOO HIGH for what you get. Really...how can anyone screw up Tex-Mex? BUYER BEWARE: Some of those "5 Star" reviews seem very contrived; much like an advertisement. They are most probably written by management. Do NOT go to LUPE TORTILLA'S!

poor service, food ok. Houston has hands down the best restaurants, but when it comes for review on Lupe Tortilla in Bay Area. Surprised to learn they don't take care of you or your other great; instead when seated anywhere they forget you?re in there Restaurant to eat and enjoy. I even notice that some of the waiters or waitresses are very rude and no help. I went there on 8/21/07at night 1 1/2 hrs before closing with my wife. We arrived and got seated in the back where we waited for about 15 to 20 minute, I had to get up and find someone to be taken care of us. The service here isn't the utmost supreme? / Even to-top that before all this took place there were several waiters & waitress seating around the bar watch the Astor?s and forgetting what there role is as a waiter or waitress. I don't suggest Lupe Tortilla as a great Restaurant to take pleasure in eating.
