Since 1955, this Atlanta-based chain has welcomed an all-hours crowd of shift workers, suits, regulars and late-night partiers with comfy booths and an extensive menu of Southern-accented home-style grub. Waffles (pecan or regular) are the restaurant's most popular dish. Other breakfast favorites include porterhouse T-bone steak and eggs, country ham, and signature hash browns cooked seven ways, from smothered with onions to topped with chili or cheese. Another bargain is the bowl of chili, which comes topped with onions, ham and cheese.

Wonderful waffles. The best tasting waffles I have ever had came from the waffle house and they only cost $2! My personal favorites are the waffles, the bacon egg and cheese sandwich, and the chicken sandwich. The hash browns with cheese are pretty good too. The coffee is great. The omelettes at this location can be a little greasy at times and they let people smoke all over the restaurant.
