After leaving your salon this past Saturday, October 6, 2012 I can honestly say I will never return. I went in for a cut and all over color with peak-a-boo red and blonde highlights. I left with an uneven haircut, barely any layers, orange where the red should be, and blonde that wasn't bleached to my satisfaction. I had been in the salon for 4 hours at this point so I didn't have time to stay and speak with a manager about the botched job. However, I did call on my way home and spoke to a gentleman. The only thing he would offer me is a redo by the same stylist who messed my hair up to begin with. He said that your "policy" is that a senior stylist would shadow the girl when she mixes the color and that the same girl who did the bad job to begin with would be the one who applied it. He did not address who would redo the cut. I understand that this might be a tool for training purposes, but I did not pay $200 to become a stylist guinea pig to learn on. I came to this salon because it seemed professional and nice. I just had a baby two months ago and haven't gotten my hair done in over a year, so this was suppose to be a "treat" to myself, and now I am completely regretting my decision. All I wanted was to get my hair redone by a different stylist, I don't think that was asking too much to be honest. I wasn't demanding a refund, or anything. Even if I did decide to get my hair redone by the same girl, the only days the manager offered for it to be done was on THEIR schedule, which was either Tuesday or Wednesday. Both of these days wouldn't work for me considering I am a single mother of an infant, yet they didn't seem to care. This reschedule should have been when it was convenient for ME not them. I don't think that wanting a different stylist to redo my hair was that big of a deal, but apparently for your salon it is. Also, both the managers I spoke to were rude and did not seem genuinely concerned with my complaint at all. The women I spoke to today basically hung up on me without saying goodbye, thank you, or I'm sorry. Needless to say, I will never be back and I will make sure my complaint is heard around Sugar Land and the surrounding cities. Also, the Better Business Bureau will be contacted about this issue considering it has not been handled correctly at all.

Annamarie ROCKS!. I started getting my nails done again and was having trouble finding a person who listens to what I want. The places I was trying where not doing a good job, too thick, not even, lifting. I was about to give up then I ran into someone who's nails looked wonderful! She referred me to Anna at Albert Luiz Salon. Anna is a miracle worker, very talented and so nice! I booked my appointments a year ahead I was so impressed. She can do some ART with acrylic, 3D and everything! I highly recommend Anna!

Anthony Nguyen!. I went in for a pixie cut after having had long hair for most of my life. I was super nervous, but Anthony was really friendly and did an amazing job! It's by far the best haircut I've ever had! He listened very well to what I wanted and explained everything he was doing. He was very gentle wth my hair and showed me how to style it afterwards. My sister and I also had alot of fun joking and talking with him while he cut my hair :). Highly recommended!

Overpriced and inadequate. Albert and Amin should spend some of the money they make on hiring competent people to answer the phone and book appointments. I called to complain about a bad haircut with the wrong stylists and I'm told I was confused. Asked if I wanted to speak to a manager and get transferred to voicemail. What ever happened to customer service? This place obviously doesn't understand the concept or realize that without customers who pay for the pricy haircuts they wouldn't be in business. Don't waste your time going to this place!

My hair is now presentable! Thank you!. I had been getting my hair done by the same stylist, for the last 3 years. Noticing that my hair was orange and over processed (this was the 2nd time this happened at this same salon) it was time for me to find a new stylist. Women, you know how hard it is to make a change after being with one for so long, but I had no choice. My orange head of hair was the clue it time to make a change. I came across Albert Luiz Salon. Highly Recommend Hairstylist - ANTHONY NGUYEN. I was feeling quite discouraged with my hair - it looked dry and un-stylish. After going to the same Sugar Land hair salon for over two years and new I was ready for a change and really did not know where to turn.

I searched CitySearch and came across recommendations for ANTHONY NGUYEN.

This guy is amazing. He really listened to my lifestyle, what works for me and what doesn't - and voile, I have a great new look that makes me and those around me smile!

great hairstylist. Whitney, one of the stylist at this fabulous salon and day spa in the Land of Sugar, is THE best. Whitney's cuts are to die for, and her fun personality and helpful advice is more than one could ask for. She is a real find and highly recommended. The entire staff at this salon and spa are always so pleasant and attentive....making your experience there one to look forward to. They have an expansive range of services to chose from.

Don't settle for anything less, Go to the best- KELLY ADAMS!. I have gone to Kelly Adams for a couple of years now and can honestly say she is the absolute best!! I am extremely picky when it comes to my hair and before Kelly, had the hardest time finding a hairstylist. She is a MIRACLE- WORKER when it comes to color. Over the years working with Kelly, she has never ever let me down! We have gone from dark brown color to golden hilites to light blonde- she is very knowledgeable when it comes to color and most importantly keeping hair healthy in the process. She also is great when it comes to haircuts- I have naturally curly hair that can sometimes be pretty hard for me to style. Kelly really knows what works for my hair. And after she's done coloring and cutting it- she blow drys it to perfection! The blow dry, itself, is worth the money you pay for cut and color. She has even taken the time to help me learn how to mimic her blow-drying styles. My sister goes to her too- and she has been very pleased as well. Kelly really does listen to me when I describe what I want. Overall, I am so very pleased with Kelly Adams at Albert Luiz. Everyone at the salon is very professional and it really is a nice place to relax. Albert Luiz salon is worth every single penny. I would recommend Kelly to anybody and everyone looking for a fun and friendly stylist who is consistent when it comes to creating the perfect style!

I LOVE SARAH!!!. So, i decided that i was going to try and get my hair done at visible changes and they absolutely butchered it! I was absolutely mortified and rand to Albert Luiz. They set me up with Sarah Castillo and i have to say that she is absolutely AMAZING!!! She gave me such an amazing cut but most of all she listened to me and did exactly what i asked. She is very professional and knows what she is doing. If you are looking for someone who takes the time to really understand what you want and who gives a great cut and dye job, she is your girl!

re: Idesign's comment about her husband's experience.. Albert Luiz did not "convince" him of getting a treatment. Albert simply informed him of how to accomplish HIS goal of growing his hair longer, which his hair's natural texture has kept him from doing. An Albert Luiz Salon does not perform any type of Keratin Treatments that have associated risks to them! The product used has ZERO risk to it as it does not contain ANY type of "aldehyde" like many others do. He was informed about it's benefits and would have certainly been told if there would have been any risks. But there are none. As far as feeling conned about it's cost, it is not customary to mention service pricing before the client asks. This is true of any high end service industry.
