It IS what IT is!. On a enjoyable weather day of your preference...this is the spot to hang out and drink something. Food is not the top of the list. It is more enjoyable after a few drinks...yes...it's bar food.... It's SAM's BOAT!!!!boat that be rocking and knocking......live band JAMMIng!!!Drinks are being drucken!!.......MAintain then go home.....or keep on jamming!!!!IT IS WHAT IT IS though.

SAMS BOAT REVIEW YIKES!!. Well I had a chance to go to Sams Boat in the fountains in Stafford Texas...so I read the reviews first....should of been a warning...got chips and salsa for starters...I have never had chips as greasy as these...twice...I am sure there is a laughing cook somewhere.....and then I moved to the 9 dollar salad....swimming in water in the bottom...one piece of rock hard bread came with it....had to beg for seconds on the tea......I think this is a place to drink not eat...after you are drunk all food taste good...but to go sober is very disappointing...will never return....not to mention the super slow service...the grilled chicken looked good but not worth $12.95...No more for me...you got my money once but not again....they really need to work on the food part

Definition of bad service. Ok, the service was the worst can'teven hear yourself think. They had the tv blasted so you couldn't even talk to the person next to you. You had to scream at the waitress so they can here your order. Then end up with the wrong food was bland and not enough food for the price. Just bad!! I have been to a lot of rest rants and by far the worst. Oh, and when you ask for manager they NEVER come. I had to ask 4 different times and still no mrg! I will never go there again. Ever,ever!"You say ever.ever"? Never ever!!!

I'll be back tomorrow ! ! ! ! ! :). Went in on a Wednesday one dollar well night and it was awesome. Been in there almost every day since. Just hired a really quick and friendly bartender a few days ago. Great service and definately NOT a waste of money. Food is awesome and the crawfish is delicious. Always at least 3 bartenders at 3 different bars out of the 5 bars that they have. Never had any problems getting a drink or food on time. Weekends are pretty crazy, but who cares it's the weekend! See you soon! and who really thinks you can get shrimp for 35 cents a pound. lol.

Rude Harassing Staff!!!!. If you are not of European descent or are of the lighter persuasion, please do not expect any type of civilized service, or even if you are, you may not be treated well. The bartenders ignore you when you have clearly been there waiting longer than others.....and if you speak to the manager, PETE, he is very unprofessional and rude and does not take your complaints seriously. He approaches you with an attitude and you can instantly tell he is not concerned with the customer's satisfaction but rather his fellow employees' impression of him. It is apparent when you ask the unsatisfactory bar tenders, JD and Deanne to speak with their manager and they are more than happy to direct you to their less than professional buddy/manager PETE who dismisses your concerns with much attitude. We asked if Sam's Boat was a member of the better bb and got an eye roll and a shrug of the shoulders from PETE the manager. Please do not waste your money on a very prejudice and unprofessional business when there are plenty of other choices in Houston.

Dont Go there If you want to live !!. If you go there just be careful, the food will harm you and so will their loyal regular patrons after 9p.m.

best real bar in SL. I don't know what peoples problem with the boat are, it's not overly crowded like baker street, you can have a conversation there without having to scream like at baker st. The drinks are cheaper than Baker st. The food is good its not 5 star but it's good. Service I personally think is average at best but that's way better than baker st. Haha I don't know if this is a review for SAMs boat or a bash on baker st but take it for what it is I guess

They will Harrass You and then Call the Cops. Not yiour neighboorhood friendly bar they will harrass you , then call the cops to get you locked because thats what they like doing , NOT THE PL:ACE TO GO if you want a clean record, Go to Baker Street or Berry Hill for a GOOD TIME NOT HERE ..

rather eat dogfood. The oysters looked like they had been cracked open a week prior and left in a mop closet, and they tasted and smelled of ship channel bilge water. The shrimp hadn't been anything close to clean before being cooked, and the etoufee from which I ate them looked and tasted like a frothy upchuck of rotted bell peppers, and the piece of bread served on top was as old as the oysters. The fries were alright, as were the buffalo wings. Of course, if you have no respect for yourself, what you eat, or what kind of scenery in which you try to relax, this is the place to go -- just don't forget the air sickness bags for once you peel out onto the highway.
