“PHOENIX CLEANERS are very friendly and give customers quality and perfection.”
“Phoenix Cleaners worst customer service by manager, overcharging, hostile when asked about pricing.”
If there was an option to select 0 stars, I would have chosen it. I visited this dry cleaners for the first time last week and dropped of four items, including a new Tory Burch blouse that I paid $250 for on sale last month. The attendant explained that the blouse was a "special care" item, with which I agreed, and assured me that the item would be well cared for. I was appalled when I picked up the blouse and noticed that THREE of the Tory Burch logo buttons were missing. The buttons are the distinguishing part of the blouse and the reason I purchased it. I asked to speak to the manager, who immediately pushed blame elsewhere (i.e. "the buttons were not sewn on properly") and said she would try to find the buttons. No offer to reimburse me a portion of the purchase price. No offer to refund the money I paid to dry clean my items. If this is the treatment one receives as a first time customer, I can hardly imagine the kind of treatment one might expect as a regular customer. Avoid this place at all costs.
Plenty of other cleaners in Friendswood.
I spent several hundred dollars having items cleaned when we moved. The staff was friendly. The manager pointed out a torn pocket on one of my sweaters and offered to sew it for $5.00. I agreed, paid the $5.00 but when I went to wear the sweater, I noticed the pocket was still torn.
After hearing we just moved, the manager referred a painter (unsolicited). I wound up using him (Jose Lara) based on Quen's (?) high recommendations and he is by far the WORST painter. I would have been better off tying a paint brush to my dog's tail. I will never use Phoenix again based on the manager's high recommendations of this contractor. There are plenty of other cleaners in Friendswood
I've used this dry cleaners several times, and I like them. The staff has always been extremely friendly. I also like the fact they have my personal details as well as all the items I bring in (type of clothing and fabric) computerized. My first & last name is attached to the tags on my clothes (which I think is fantastic).
Never before have I gone to a cleaners that actually takes the time to determine what kind a fabric my clothes are made of before they toss them in a bag.
I do agree with the other comments that the place is pricy. But in my opinion it is worth it. This is one of the only dry cleaners in the that area that I trust with my clothes. I think they do a good job.
friendly reliable and caring. my intentions are not to be rude or disrespectful to anyone but this is regarding the previous comments.... when an item is drycleaned its put in a special into the machine it comes out hand sprayed w sizing to eliminate wrinkles this takes about3 minutes each item.some people take items with excessive lint, dog hair cat hair and dont realize it( that takes about 10min to 2hours to eliminate).most people dont realize their items are stained we call customer to point out and get authorization before we clean.we still have items there from 5years most people take it somwhere else and want to blame us.happens all the time.on dry cleaning there is an enviormental fee by the city or something.so people please make sure you are not just blaming us for your dirtyness and forgetfullness.PHOENIX CLEANERS are very friendly and give customers quality and perfection.you will love going there and their service CHECK OUT THE BEST CLEANERS IN FRIENDSWOOD
Avoid!!! Incompetent, unfriendly, overpriced, indifferent.
Overcharged me (their receipt said one amount, my Amex receipt said another). When I asked for a refund I was told "Oh they got the number of items wrong and had to add one manually rather than through the computer. You should check the receipt before you leave".
OK, my bad.
Asked for button repair on two pair of trousers, only one was done (for $5.98). Since I can't decipher their cryptic receipt I don't know how to plead my case on that one.
OK, so far Phoenix 2, me 0.
Inquired why dry cleaning for three pair of trousers were charged at $4.24 each while one was at $2.99 (as shown on their price list), I was told the additional charge was for "sizing" which they said was spray starch. Since when do you apply starch on dry cleaning? I was told that I requested it, which of course I did not, (clerk is hot but evidently dim), but there was no discussing it. The only time starch came up in our transaction was when I requested no starch for the six shirts on the order. They were of course delivered boardlike with starch.
Attempts to resolve all this were met by a wall of indifference from the so-called manager.
Oh yeah, my order was not ready at the time I was told. I had to make two trips.
I'm not spiking my blood pressure over it - consider it an expensive lesson learned.
There are plenty of quick, accurate, reasonably priced cleaners in the neighborhood. How these people stay in business makes me question the basic enterprise dictum that the marketplace will cull the incompetents.
Take your business elsewhere and perhaps they'll finally achieve bankruptcy.
Phoenix Cleaners worst customer service by manager, overcharging, hostile when asked about pricing..
I am not the type to even take time to write letters concerning service (and I use that term loosely) from a place of business. But it is now 3 days later and I am still bothered by the treatment I received.
Among other items, I took 19 women blouses in to be laundered, pressed and starched, believing the price was $2.25 a blouse. The 19 blouses rang up at $66. The manager told me that "sizing" the blouses (spray starching) was $1.00 extra. Wow, couldn't believe that was extra but silently I told myself that this was my fault for not asking for a price list. I then asked for one and he said they have none. I then asked him what $3.25 x 19 was and he said, "I don't know". I asked him to use his calculator on the counter. He opened his drawer and slide a portable calculator toward me and told me to do it. Okay, so I did. Total was $63.00. He became irritated and said, "Okay, I take all the sizing off." I then asked how some of my slacks, same brand and type were more than others. These slacks were cheap capris. He said there was $1 extra charge for "lint control". Nonsense! I didn't ask for this feature nor was it needed. I found the manager to be one of the rudest service operators I have ever met, thus this letter. As I entered the cleaners, one of the clerks referred me to him. He approached me with arms folded and already hostile. He told me that next time I should look at receipt before I leave the cleaners. I assured him that there would not be a next time. Save yourself irritation and over-charging and not use this cleaners. I tried this cleaners over a year ago and quit going as mistakes were always made on each visit in their pricing. I attempted to try them again, for their convenience in location and the drive-through is a plus. Never again!
Don't use this Cleaner!. This is the worst dry cleaners I have ever been to. They will no longer receive any of my business. After staining an item I left with them, they refused to fix it without charge if I left with it and brought it back! They are extremely rude and uncooperative - if you use this cleaner, keep your fingers crossed that nothing goes wrong because you will undoubtedly be left frustrated and angry. They have also failed to give me back items in the past. It was an extremely difficult process to get them to find my clothes! What a horrible business!
