Permanent Eyebrows FELL OFF!!! Salon does not guarantee their services. L'avantage APPEARS to be a nice, upscale salon for all types of services, including permanent cosmetics. In April '08 I paid $400 for permanent eyebrows. The procedure is done with a row of needles that are dug into your face over & over again. It is quite painful, but I was certainly willing to withstand it for the promise of permanent eyebrows. After an hour & a half, I paid, tipped & was given some ointment to use for 5-6 days to speed the healing process. I used the ointment exactly as I was told. After 4 days, I woke up one morning to find half of one eyebrow peeled off & laying on my CHEEK! I called the salon, talked to the aesthetician & she offered to re-do my eyebrows but I was told I would have to wait a month for my skin to heal or else the new permanent eyebrows would not "take". She also told me she would have to dig even DEEPER to get the solution to "take". After the month passed, I called the salon citing that I was really not willing to undergo the extreme pain again so asked for a refund of $300 of the original $400 fee. I told them I wanted the aesthetician to be compensated for her time, even though I had already left her a nice tip on the first trip. The aesthetician said I would have to talk to the Manager so I left a message for her to call me. She never did. After a week I called back asking for the Manager, was put off again so left a message. The next week I called again. FINALLY, I talked to the Manager, told her my story & she said she could not authorize a refund that she would have to talk to the Owner of the salon. I called back the next week & asked for the Manager to see if she had gotten an answer. I was put off. This went on for another 2 weeks. FINALLY, she called me back to say the owner would only authorize a $100 refund & that was unusual as they don't GUARANTEE their services. Please avoid this salon at all costs. They are dishonest and practice bad customer service.
