Great food. Great food and drinks!!! Love the hibachi !!!! My kids especially love it!!!!
Horrible Nigiri Sushi. I attended on Saturday for lunch. I am very surprised at the rave reviews for sushi here. I ordered maguro (tuna) nigiri and a white fish nigiri. This fish had a definite odor to it (tuna is not supposed to smell at all) and was not tasty. I did not get sick (thankfully); however, I believe this must have been the result of old fish (1-2 days?). I eat sushi multiple times a week, and this was the worst I have had so far. I also ordered a side of the fried rice, which was extremely bland (no Tokyohana, for sure). The service was lackluster, as well. The lack of fresh sushi and service will cause me to never patron this place again.
Editorial Review. Japanese steaks, chicken and seafood are prepared before your eyes by tableside hibachi chefs brandishing knives and seasonings.
Best restaurant ever. Being im from spring and lived about 3 miles from this place, it is amazing. I try to go at least three times a week to stop my withdraws. I am addicted to this place. The sushi is the best around, the chefs are funny, and the manager even knows my familys names. The staff is so fast the you dont even notice that your drink was taken and refilled. I would recommend this place to every single person in Houston.
Fresh Sushi anyone!!!!!!!!!. Koebe is the best sushi restaurant I have been to. I have tried many of them and Koebe is the one I run back to. The atmosphere is great and very family oriented. The sushi and shashimi is very fresh. The chefs at the hibachi grill is funny and keep you entertained. The staff is very friendly. The manager/owner also greets his customers and has a very good sense of humor. I have not yet been disappointed by the service nor food. The other food on the menu is very tastey as well. Our 3 kids love it there as well. I highly recommend Koebe's. I have my sister and husband driving from Humble to The Woodlands, they like it that much.
Better than average hibachi experience. After visiting several other hibachi/sushi establishments in the area, I have decided that Kobe will be my standby. By comparison, the amount of food you receive for the price (soup AND salad AND dessert) is above average and, in my opinion, the food is much more flavorful. Kobe employs much more entertaining chefs as well.
Yummmm.... I have to say that when I first went here in 2005 it was not immpressive. Since that time much has changed for the better. The staff and service have always been excellent. The quality of sushi fish top notch. Fun Teppanyaki Chefs. Delicious choices. The friendly owners are always on hand and greeting customers. The issues that were once are no more. We have made this a regular stop in our family since 2007 and are never disappointed.
erin. Kobe was very enjoyable. I frequent this restaurant at least once a week b/c I crave their sushi and the hibachi. The staff always remembers your face when you walk in. It is delightful to see that there are still some restaurants that are not corporate driven and actually want to make you satisfied.
It's far, but worth it!. I live in Houston, and the drive out to the Woodlands is unbearable at times; but it is definitely worth it to make it out to this restaurant. Here, the sushi is great (they just put in a new bar that adds to its professional facade) and the steaks, seafood, and fried rice are phenomenal. Here, my dinner companions can explore their palate for exotic makis (rolls) while I can enjoy my facination with teppan yaki (table-side cooking). Nothing like a fresh-grilled cut of tenderloin with a warm bowl of flavor-ful fried rice. The service here is far above par with funny chefs, attentitive waitstaff, and appreciative management. I'd frequent this place more often, but the distance is far enough to keep me going there to unload my wallet to once every month. Keep this place going; I only see greater things to come!
