Worst service ever! Need to learn the basics of service. Went there just recently on a weekday. There's no hostess. The guy behind the bbq counter just looked at me for a few minutes than realized that I might need a table. You think??? I came early about 30 minutes before my friends arrived and waiting for those 30 minutes, no waiter came by to ask me what to drink. So my friends finally came and tried to get someone's attention but no one would come to us. And we got one waiter's attention and he said yeah then walked away. How rude!!! We waited for 20 minutes total with no waiter taking our order so we decided to get up and leave. That's when a waiter decided to come to our table and just looked at us. Then he started picking up the menus and didn't even say anything to us at all. So almost an hour wasted of my time!!! I would never come back there!!! Is there a negative rating? They don't even deserve 1 rating. I would give them a negative 100!!!

One of the busiest Chinese/Vietnamese restaurant. I ordered the following during my recent visits:

Peking duck, black pepper dungeness crab, Vietnamese style vermicelli with bbq pork, pan fried noodles, roasted duck...young coconut gelatin for dessert, a must try.

Let me take a minute to talk about the vermicelli with bbq pork. I eat this dish at Mai's downtown from time to time. Some days the pork was excellent, some days it was over-grilled and some days they pre-grill the pork and leave it sitting for too long and tend to be dry. The one at Sinh Sinh was tender and juicy, obviously made-to-order. But their egg rolls don't match up to the ones at Mai's. Until Mai's reopens, this is a good place to eat Vietnamese food if you are in this part of town.

The food here is pretty good, everything I ordered was tasty. But this is a typical Chinese restaurant, the floor and tables are somewhat sticky and don't look clean. The wait staff were attentive by Chinese standards (don't expect too much) but they do get the job done.

good food. Lots of Asians eat there.......it must be Asian like food. It sure was good to me, we try it about every 2 weeks. I get the brocolli and beef and the fried rice is very good. The aquariums keep the kids entertained as well as the whole cooked ducks hanging. The atmosphere is very good and the tables are round. The soy bean green shake is the best I have had in Houston.

Authentic Food and Experience.. Look, the Bellaire area restaurants are not known for service. It's the food that people come here for. I've been going here since I was 5 years old and they have the best Mi Hoanh Thanh soup hands down. If you expect good service go to PF Chang's. If you're looking for an authentic Chinese/Vietnamese meal this is the place. It's cheap and you don't need to tip big here either. If you think service is bad here try going to Vietnam. Over there you still at a roadside cafe on a stool made for 6 year olds and have a toilet paper roll on the table instead of napkins. Everything, and I mean everything costs extra. But man the food is great.

Large Vietnamese and Cantonese restaurant in Chinatown that sets itself apart with fresh Gulf seafood and hot pot.. In Short
Inside the door of the strip mall stunner, diners are assailed by the size, noise and sight of floor-to-ceiling tanks filled with live lobsters, crabs, fish, shrimp, and the frightening-looking geoduck. On the other side is the barbecue area with hanging crispy-skinned ducks and slabs of roasted pork. The mostly Asian clientele also favors the assorted hot pot soups, Vietnamese and Thai dishes, in addition to popular Chinese items like walnut shrimp, sizzling beef and lobster in ginger-scallion sauce.

Absolutely the Worst Service Even for Fast Food Standard. After waiting 25 min for my order i decided to wave at a waitress walking by to check on my order. The waitress held her hand to my face and said "HOLD-ON!". She proceeded to the next table to give them the togo box and came back and asked me "WHAT?". So I ask to speak to her manager; she said there is no manager. I asked for the owner; she replied her owner was not available neither. I have been going to sinh sinh since the early 1990 at the old location; the services were never what i consider "great" but this time is just too rude for me to come back.

:). My family and I have been dining at Sinh Sinh for years now. Some of the usual dishes we order are: stir fried beef tips (bo luc lac), salt toasted squid, pan fried noodles (#24 or #25 on the menu), and crispy noodles with seafood. The walnut shrimp and salt toasted soft shell crab are also very good. The service isn't all that great and it's not so cheap for Chinese food. The consistently good food is what keeps us coming back.

another place to grab a quick bite of asian food. this place is among one of the more popular asian restaurants on bellaire. although it's like any other place along the bellaire strip, they have a spacious dining area to accomodate huge crowds and quick service, as well as late nite/ after hours dining. the quality of food is decent, but it'll satisfy your palette when you are really hungry. the ambience is nothing special, like any other chinatown restaurant, so don't expect a romantic dinner for 2 here.*

Good Chinese Food. Sinh Sinh is a basically a good place for Chinese food. Try the Pork Chops over rice for lunch. It is one of the best dishes around that area. Their fried rice is also some of the best around. They've been around forever and their food has always been very good and very consistent.

trying to move on up?. this is a typical asian restaurant. never expect good service. what's on the menu? your average asian dishes, similar to what you find at tan tan down the street. the funniest thing is that they now have this wine list that is almost up to par with other upscale eateries in town. i don't know who is going to order a bottle of Opus One or the $800 Chateau Lafite Rothschild with their noodles and hot pot.
