Service and food downhill.. Went to the 59 location a couple years back, and really enjoyed the place.

I came back recently and the standards have been thrown out the window. I have eaten better food at a taqueria.

There was this woman working there who was dressed differently than the other waitresses, who kept starring at my table. She may have been the owner...or manager...either way, send that cow where people can't see her. Just the site of her made me uncomfortable, hovering the way she did. The service was slow and the place was not that busy.

This used to be a classy establishment...but obviously they have changed something to accommodate a "wider range" of people...No offense folks, just call them the way I see them.

Wrong.... On Monday 11/27 a friend of mine went to the restaurant with husband to celebrate his birthday and her parents plus brothers and sisters also went. The food was great but the most thing that did disturb my friend and the family was that a waitress was trying to feed her husband some cake. I honestly thing that Don Carlos Restaurant food is awesome but the waitress might want to change that rule, I honestly would have said something to the waitress. Good thing that my friend is a very calm person. Just a suggestion Don Carlos Restaurant should change the way they congrats a birthday person.

Don Carlos Rocks!. Great food, great service and better yet, GREAT Margaritas!!!!!!!!!!! Good prices! I have been going to this restaurant for 3 years and I have never had a bad experience....I have tried all of the flavors of margaritas and you can't go wrong with any of them!

Great 24k margarita. This place is great to grab a drink after work or for dinner. The 24 k margarita is the best. when the mariachi is playing the atmosphere feels great. The food portions are great for the prices the plates are big and the food is excellent.

New Find. I had passed this location numerous times. I finally went! The interior design is stylish and unique. The servers were attentive.

I was surprised at the number of lunch specials, all reasonably priced, $6.95-8.95.

I have a new place for Mexican food.

Mamma eat your heart out. This is the best Mexican Restraunt in Houston. The salsa is tops.. one of the few places to make it with roasted tomatoes. The fajitas are the best. No comparison. The service is top notch. I've tried just about everything on their extensive menu. If you go.. try it all.. for you barbacoa fanatics.. look else where. This is the only food item that is lacking. Drinkwise, try the mexican flag margaritas!
