I have been a patient of Dr. Susan Hardwick-Smith's for over a decade and could not think of any other doctor I would want caring for my ob/gyn needs. She has always been very kind and dedicated. I saw her for a few years for my routine gynecological needs before I got pregnant with my son. Once I was pregnant, I was so thankful to have not only Dr. Hardwick-Smith, but the whole staff at the Complete Women's Care Center caring for me. I had a couple of issues pop up with my pregnancy like bleeding very early in my pregnancy and gestational diabetes later on, and Dr. Hardwick-Smith was there for me with a steadying hand and a reassuring calm.

My son is now 7, and in the last year, I've had some female issues and am glad that I've been able to depend on the knowledge and experience of Dr. Hardwick-Smith to see me through these times. Thank you to my long-time doctor and everyone at the Complete Women's Care Center for always being there for me and my family.

GYN that cares! I have had 3 children (born in other cities) with lingering medical issues. I needed skilled care from someone I could trust . Dr. Hardwick-Smith and her excellent staff made me feel very comfortable and secure in the knowledge that they can help me stay healthy. I love being able to talk to and get advice from a female doctor. Dr. H-S is the best, and as a mother of 3 children herself, understands my needs.

Wonderful experience. I wanted to wait until I got through my entire pregnancy to write a review. Now that I have a 3 month old, I definitely feel they have deserved all 5 of those stars (and then some). Everyone I have encountered in this office has been professional, caring, and knowledgable. I've been to a couple different doctors in Houston, and I would get so frustrated waiting 30 min - 1 hr at all of them just to get back to an examination room. And then they only see you for 5 minutes, tops. Not here! My average wait was 5-10 minutes. I think the longest I waited was 15 minutes one time, but that was because they wanted to get me in for an ultrasound first, and she was finishing up with someone. As a busy professional myself, I appreciate that they are conscientious about my time.

Any concerns I had during my pregnancy were addressed during office visits. I never felt rushed. I remember my first meeting with Brandi (Hardwick-Smith's NP) as I listed my concerns about pregnancy and how I hoped labor/delivery to go. She told me - "we want what you want". How refreshing!

When I was past my due date, Dr. H-S wanted to do an ultrasound to make sure my baby girl still had enough fluid and wasn't getting too big. It was a Friday, so I figured we would wait until Monday. She had Angel come in to the office on Saturday to do the ultrasound. I was amazed. She opened the office for just us. Angel took her time and got some really good pictures for us.

I ended up having to be induced. I waited until the last possible day, which unfortunately meant Dr. H-S wasn't on call that day. I was bummed to not have her deliver my baby girl, but I knew whichever doctor was on call would do a great job. Dr. Ohlemacher delivered my baby and it was an amazing experience. She regularly checked on me either in person or by phone during my 11 hour labor. During delivery, she was so calming and comforting and made me feel in complete control. My baby had swallowed meconium and wasn't breathing when she came out. Dr. O explained this beforehand and gave me a heads up that they would need to take her to do some suctioning right when she came out. I know it's not always possible, but it was nice to know upfront what to expect.

Dr. Briggs came by the next day to check on me and filled out the discharge papers for the following day. I wish my baby's discharge would have gone just as smooth! But that's a totally different doctor review. ha

Once I got home, I received a call from Dr. H-S to check on me. Then, maybe a week later, I received another call from Dr. H-S's nurse to check in. I also received a card in the mail signed by all the doctors congratulating me on the new arrival. So personal!

They are moving their office at the end of the week, and even though I'm not coming in regularly like I was during pregnancy, it's nice to receive an email with updates. Looking forward to seeing the new office at my annual exam.

Fantastic, caring doctor.... Dr. Hardwick-Smith is a very compassionate doctor who makes you feel comfortable. She has no problem sharing her own experiences with you. It's obvious why she has won several awards.

BEST DOCTOR IN HOUSTON!. BEST DOCTOR IN HOUSTON! Everyone is entitled to her opinion, but It saddens me to see patients who judge quickly and intentionally sow seeds of discord about Dr. Hardwick-Smith and her practice. Hopefully, the sharing of my experience will give you a better perspective and thorough evaluation. I have been seeing Dr. H-S since 2001, way before I became a new mommy on Mar. 20, 2008. I have been under her care for over 10 yrs and counting. Without hesitation, I can say she consistently provides excellent care to her patients, pregnant or not. I am one of several patients who agree that she has a reputation for being the best of the best. I have high expectations and wouldn't settle for second best. She's caring, gentle, encouraging, straightforward, understanding and altruistic. There's no other doctor in town who possesses similar qualities and extends a wide array of services for women. I was scheduled to deliver on a Monday, but baby came on Thurs. Her office staff is quite efficient. If you have to wait a few minutes, it's not because of them, it's probably because of patients like me who went into labor unexpectedly and needed the doctor's attention immediately. I had an uncomplicated pregnancy/delivery, but my recovery was not so. I developed mastitis (breast infection) and was in a lot of pain. I had every possible symptom there is. I called the office after hours. Dr. H-S called me within minutes, and right away i had my prescription to begin treatment. She even sent me a message that the pharmacy had my prescription and hoped I feel better soon. That wasn't all. It was Sunday, 7pm (dinner time), and it was her birthday. No other doctor would take time from her family to do this. I write this from experience: SHE'S THE BEST DOCTOR IN HOUSTON!

Highly Recommend Dr. Hardwick Smith. Dr. Hardwick Smith brought both my babies into this world who are now 11 and 8. I'm still a loyal client because not only is she highly proficient in what she does....I remember how amazingly professional she was when we had complications. Her office is staffed with women which personally makes me much more comfortable knowing that if she can't make an appointment I DO NOT suddenly have a male doctor who expects to examine me. Ever since Dr. Hardwick Smith set up her own office, appointments seem to run on time which I appreciate as a working professional. She's incorporated technology and customer service into her practice which is highly unusual with doctors. I highly recommend Complete Women's Care Center.

Ob gyn for life. Dr. H-S has been nothing but kind and caring to me through both pregnancy and many female problems. She spends a lot of time with each patient and answered all my questions. Recently I went in for a rather embarrassing problem and she was so kind and reassuring not judgmental at all and helped to make me feel that I was normal and not to worry, I felt so much better. It helps that everyone there is a woman and I feel like they really understand what is going on. Sometimes you just need someone to put their hand on your knee and say it's OK. I know I made her really late last time because she spent at least 30 mins calming me down and answering all my questions, but she didn't seem bothered or rushed at all. As far a pregnancy I got TONS of information, from the first visit they go over a whole list of questions, and they give you handouts and there are lots of things on their website as well. I felt very well prepared. Definitely will be a patient for life.

An Amazing Experience. After my experiene with Dr. Jurney and her team at CWCC I feel compelled to share with everyone how truly great it was. After dealing with several years of pelvic pain and feeling like I was just being passed around from different doctor to doctor I met Dr. Sara Jurney. She took the time to explain what the possibilities were and her ideas on how to take care of them. Now of course, no one wants to hear the the frightning news that you need surgery but Dr. Jurney helped me to understand the pros and cons of the procedure and made the news a lot easier to take and thus make an educated decision. The day of my procedure Dr. Jurney came into the pre-op room and visited with my husband and I making sure to answer all of our questions and put our minds at ease. Her bed side manner was and is by far the best I have ever came across. Once I was in the operating room and getting ready to be put under she held my hand and sat right beside me until I fell asleep. My husband and mom were waiting in the lobby while I was in surgery and they noticed another woman walk in the door wearing the same uniform as Dr. Jurney. She must have been able to tell by the look on their faces they recognized her and were my family. She came right over to them and introduced herself as Dr. Lisa Beard, one of Dr. Jurney's partners and explained everything was going great and she was just coming over to help Dr. Jurney finish things up. This type of patient care really made a difference to me, even though she was not my physician she took the time to comfort my family. After my procedure Dr. Jurney told my husband she had found the problem and was able to correct it. He told me after I was home he was so happy and relieved to hear that news he wanted to kiss her! The next morning Dr. Jurney called me herself to check on me and make sure I was doing well. I continue to see Dr. Jurney for my yearly exams and continue to experience the same exceptional care each and every time. I would recommend Complete Women's Care Center to any and every woman around. The team there is truly an elite group of physicians.

Nothing negative, best ob/gyn office. I am a loyal patient of CWCC and I am also a doctor. I personally usually see Dr. Jurney, but I would be happy to see any of the doctors, and have seen both Dr. Hardwick-Smith and Beard. I would never usually write on a site such as this because basically I disapprove of the idea that anyone can write anything which may be nothing more that a personal attack and there is no way for the business being reviewed to respond, which is completely unfair and un-American. But anyone who criticizes the CWCC doctors really needs to be responded to, because they are just wrong. CWCC is a rare group of truly caring, extremely well qualified doctors and medical professionals who do a fantastic job of balancing work, family and everything else. They have an unheard of level of customer service and the office and staff are the most beautiful in town. They consistently have rave reviews on every website with a few exceptions that show that they are actually humans, and are awarded in every online popularity contest such as best doctors, super doctors, most compassionate doctors, etc, etc.The doctors in town and their wives all go to CWCC, the waiting room is full of doctors like me. The complaints below about billing are clearly a result of lack of understanding about how doctors work with insurance companies, which is inherently hard to understand. Medical care is expensive, and you bet there is a bill for every lab, every ultrasound, and every other thing. Sometimes insurance companies don't pay. None of which should lead anyone to attack the doctors personally online in a public forum, that is just hurtful and cruel. It is unfortunate that these wonderful women have to put up with this type of thing when they should be spending their time taking care of us and our unborn babies. Anyone who has the honor to become a patient at CWCC will be thrilled that she has formed a relationship with an intelligent partner, maybe even a friend, and certain someone to admire and respect.
