I just picked my car up from the Car Butler on Travis. I know this is the review for Smith Street but it's the closest location on City Search and they are owned by the same people.

Not only did I pay $150 for a detail and the exterior was covered with spots still left on my car, I also had to pay for parking in the garage where they choose to do the service. In my opinion, the fee to use the facility should be in the price of the detail. So let's call it a $157 crappy detail.

I pointed out some of the spots to the gentleman and he said it was tree wax that he couldn't remove. First off, I think for $157 full detail they should have something to get tree wax off with. Second, once I got back to my garage, I licked my finger and rubbed the spots and they came off.

Also, they didn't roll down the window so they could clean the part that rolls up into the door. So now when I roll my window down there is a dirty line across the top of it. Nice detail Car Butler!

On to the inside. I've just given it a quick once over but I noticed that my console has sand (from the beach) still in places. And quite a bit of it, too. I'm not that picky of a person but I do a better job than this. The glass that covers my speedometer had not been touched along with a few other surfaces that didn't look like they'd been wiped down, much less detailed.

This looks like a $50 job that someone half as*ed.
