Great Catering, Fun for a Party, and Our Regular Family Tex-Mex Spot!

My family stops by and eats here at least once a week! The kids love Rudy and Rudy Jr. The food is consistently among the best in Houston! I had my Baby Shower in the back room and everyone had a blast! The food was the reason we had the shower there... Our guests said the margaritas were the best and they especially enjoyed the bacon taquitos, they were so yummy! During my pregnancy I craved the queso and green sauce all of the time; so often that we had to keep a supply at our house ;)

I also have recommended the catering service to a friend downtown and they said Rudy was on time with the food and it was perfect for his business party. Our friends now drive from downtown to join us at the restaurant all of the time

• Pros: Family-owned.... family-friendly... family fun...AND the Queso!!
• Cons: nothing!

Just like Home, without the dishes

We had a parthy in the back room. Rudy and his staff did a spectacular job! the food was great, the margaritas flowed steadily, and everyone was more than pleased. Highly recommended to anyone wanting a friendly place to gather and enjoy good eats. Try the ceviche, you won't regret it. They even do outside catering. Great value

Magnetic Ocean Margarita-the best ever!!

This place is not called La Maria any more-it is now Rudy's Grill and Cantina. Rudy's master chef fajitas for one is easily enough food for 2 very hungry adults, and the flavor is excellent. I can also recommend the seafood fajitas and the fish tacos. I'm not sure what they do to the guacamole but it's so tasty!

The food is great here, but the margaritas are very special-try the Magnetic Ocean Margarita. Every time I get visitors from out of town we go to Rudy's and we are never disappointed!

Rudy and his family visit with the customers and make sure everything is prepared just the way you like it. I'm not sure why, but they stopped having live music in the restaurant. It's too bad because my family enjoyed the festive atmosphere when they had entertainment.

The back room at Rudy's is spacious and is a great place to have parties.
