They DO have the Laura Mercier Makeup Collection!!!.
I found the Laura Mercier Makeup Counter hard to find - not a lot of signage yet. However, find it I did! It was across from the MAC counter. I'm in my 40's and needed something complimentary and clean for day to day wear. The makeup artist was a very personable and down to earth Asian- (Debby was her name I think). She was friendly, PATIENT, and knowledgable- not pushy at all. Though my intention was to go in and look at eyeshadows and lipsticks, I found through her expert knowledge that I also needed foundation. Who knew? I told her my habit was to not wear a lot of makeup, she helped me realize what I hated was the 'feel' rather than the look of foundation. It was like getting a free makeup class in how to apply makeup! The foundation went on smoothly, she taught me that I need to keep my skin hydrated. That even if the makeup line is excellent, it is limited by the canvas you walk in with. She showed me how skincare products differ from drugstore brands. That though a bottle of their stuff is kind of spendy, the company doesn't put in the fillers you would find (and pay for) in the drugstore stuff. That a little bit goes a long way. I was very appreciative to learn these things that day. I've been to other makeup counters and it seems like they can't give me the time of day. (I usually walk in not wearing makeup, so I guess they think that I'm not a makeup whore) I learned about brushes and how to tell good ones from inferior quality. In my mind, I bought an education, and the product was just the 'bonus'!!! Go see that Asian lady. She knows her stuff.
