In Short – This circa-1960s shopping area occupies four blocks along both sides of a palm tree-lined stretch of Westheimer. Despite a glitzy makeover, Highland Village remains a relatively unaffected enterprise where patrons can park for free right in front of most stores. Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware and Crate & Barrel cover the home-and-hearth scene. Fashion vendors include Banana Republic, Harold Powell, Tootsies and Anthropologie. There are two restaurants, as well as a Central Market.
