Dangerous & Crime-filled!!!! Out with a group of people, our 3 vehicles were broken into at COACHES (JV) parking lot, windows shattered and valuable property stolen. We spoke to the manager, we were told that the surveillance cameras can only conveniently see the cars directly in front of their glass doors... That was the only information/help that was offered by the management... (thanks for NOTHING) Then the "good ol" JV police roll up, who i can thank again for NOTHING!!!! I will forever worn everyone about this unsafe establishment. There will never be another penny given to this place, it is far obvious that they do not care about the safety or security of their customers. I proceeded to ask those "good ol" JV cops how many times this kinda stuff happens there, JV cop was hesitant on answering my question, I was adamant in getting an answer to my question, finally the says; it happens very often... that was good enough for me... ill never step foot in that place again... i am so disgusted!!!
Will not go back b/c of terrible service – on my lunch break from school, stopped in for a quick lunch, been to this place several times, was just there last night but the kitchen was closed. The friendly, help full staff I met last night obviously weren't there, a waitress named Christine was. If there is 2, she is the one with blond hair. I WILL NOT be going back to this place, was humiliated by someone who basically refused to serve me. I was not even said hello to, asked what I wanted to order, or much less a drink. After the waitress set my water down, she never came back to my table, instead she waited on two other people & proceeded to clean up tables. I went to the bar & ordered from a very nice bartender named Hanna who took my food order, then after another 5min of being ignored by my waitress, my drink order. I was so disgusted after I tried to get my waitress's attention, she told me rudely that my server was the one who took my food order and screamed for Hannah, I immediately asked for a to-go box and left, drink unfinished. Hannah apologized & asked if I wanted to see a mgr, but all I wanted to do was leave; didn't want them thinking I was going to go all out and complain like that for a free meal. I also left Hanna with a nice tip & note on my receipt for Christine's boss. It kinda made me feel like it was an ethnic thing, maybe the girl was having a bad day or something. All in all, the food was and is always pretty good & I will miss their awesome strawberry long island.
The Worst Sports Bar-Coaches – There's not much right I can say about this place. Arrogant staff, average food and terrible service
Just the normal too many TV's, no ambience. Would never go back
Quit Whining – HispanicPower:
You must be ignorant. It is a well known fact that having an Astros tattoo is a gang sign ofr Tango Blast/Houstone. I love the fact that Coaches denied you entrance, whether you are in the gang or not. It proves theya re serious about keeping out the ghetto trash that overrun every bar in Houston.
Next, if you are not in a gang, you should have been smarter about getting a gang tattoo in a visible place.
not great – I went here a while back and I did not enjoy it a lot. They had good music and the place was packed. It was just bad service. I could never find our waiter. Maybe they need to hire more.
Almost didn't go – I read all the reviews and almost turned my back on this place, glad I didn't.
I had a great time there, it was relaxing and fun.
The one issue was the regular bathrooms were broke so you had to wait in line to use the employee bathrooms. Other than that the music was good & the service was descent. No real complaints, just remember you are going to a bar not a high class club / lounge.
The people here give it a better hang-out atmosphere – Wow. Really, great po-boy. Staff is INTELLEGENT AND FRIENDLY, imagine that in Houston these days! Enjoyed the atmosphere. The better crowds frequent this place. Hope they build one closer to my side of town, but enjoy visiting when I can.
Sports fans and locals happily gather on the northwest side at this generous space great for special occasions or boisterous group outings. – In Short
With more than 30 TVs hung at every angle, you're never far from your favorite team or sporting event and often may have trouble choosing which program to watch. Satellite feeds from all corners of the globe ensure that even if your team isn't local, your support of them can be. A robust menu features every sports bar cliché a hungry fan could crave, yet offers a variety of salads and sandwiches too.
Laid Back – Nice place to go have a drink with friends and relax after a hard day at the office. Great food and very friendly staff.
